We are finally getting near the launch of Diablo 4, and players can’t wait to enjoy it. Thankfully, Blizzard is letting players preload the game so they can jump into it the moment it gets released. In this guide, we will talk about Diablo 4 preload time along with how to do it on all platforms.
What is the preload time for Diablo 4?
Diablo 4 owners can preload the game on May 30 at 4pm PDT or 7pm EDT. This means that you will have a whole week to preload the game before it launches. It is important to remember that the Diablo 4 beta had a file size of 80 GB. Therefore, make sure not to delay the preload process if you have slow internet.

The preload file size is similar to the beta with 90GB needed to preload the game. This is the same regardless of your game version or if you’re joining during the early access start times. Your PC requirements are also the same as the betas.
How to preload Diablo 4
If you’re currently confused about how to preload Diablo 4 on your respective platform, don’t worry; we’ve got you covered. The process is pretty simple and will take you hardly a minute.
PC
- Open the Battle.net App on your PC
- Find Diablo IV.
- On the Game Page, open the drop-down menu and install the game from there.
PlayStation
- Go to the PlayStation Store
- Search for Diablo IV.
- Select Download.
Xbox
- Go to the Xbox Store
- Search for Diablo 4
- Find and select Download.
Remember that while the game will be downloaded, you won’t be able to play it until it becomes available; that is, on June 6.
It is also important to note that those who pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition or Ultimate edition of the game will also gain early access to Diablo 4. Instead of June 6, they can play the game starting June 2. Therefore, if you preordered any of the two editions, make sure to preload Diablo 4 as soon as possible.
