Dune Spice Wars has arrived, offering players the first major look at the game and helping shape its future in its early access launch. Those interested will be heading to Arrakis for the first time in 20 years, heading back to the sand dunes in pursuit of the galaxy’s most precious resource, spice. The good news is that plenty of players will be able to do so as Dune Spice Wars’ system requirements are a treat to most PC devices.

Dune Spice Wars System Requirements

The Dunce Spice Wars system requirements are perfectly manageable for most devices in the current era of PC gaming. The game is very simple to run, but still looks pretty. And thanks to the game’s design, there isn’t much on-screen unit processing, unlike other RTS games. However, it is worth mentioning that the game can have bigger maps, so if you do have a weaker PC, then you may want to be cautious with larger maps and if the game ever allows you to add more AI factions post EA launch.

Dune Spice Wars Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz or AMD equivalent
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVidia GTX 1050 or AMD equivalent
  • Storage: 4 GB available space

As you can see, the CPU requirements for the game are very basic, as is the GPU requirement. Any form of a modern lighter budget build will be able to play the game.

  • OS: Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 2.8GHz or AMD equivalent
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVidia GTX 1080 or AMD equivalent
  • Storage: 4 GB available space

The recommended specs for Dune Spice Wars paint a slightly different picture. The CPU power requirements easily align with smaller budget builds, but the graphics card is the most interesting part of it. The 1080 was certainly a powerful card back in 2016, being one of the stronger cards of its generation. Nowadays, the 20 and the 30 series GPUs largely beat 1080 at their prime, so modern builds will handle the game with ease. However, those with a dated machine in the medium to the high budget range may find their graphics card struggling somewhat. The same rules can be said for any AMD equivalent graphics card as well. Either way, it’s nothing most modern decent budget PCs can’t handle, but if your machine feels dated already, then you may notice some performance limitations.
