Elden Ring’s Lands Between are full of magnificent beasts and deadly dangers. You may have seen many of Limgrave’s imposing bosses in your time with Elden Ring. But you know that you can fight a dragon within the opening hour of the game? We show you how to find, and defeat, Flying Dragon Agheel in our Elden Ring guide

Elden Ring: How to find Flying Dragon Agheel

Agheel lake is the setting for this memorable early fight in Elden Ring. And it isn’t long before you will meet the place’s namesake.

Ride out into the middle of the lake to be met with a crowd burning someone at a pyre. This grisly display won’t last for long, however. The dragon will soon swoop in and demolish the entire scene.

Elden Ring: How to beat Flying Dragon Agheel

Mobility Is a necessity to survive in this fight. You’ll want to be using Torrent as much as possible, circling around and moving in to slash at the Dragon’s wings and back legs.

When close to the Agheel, feel free to dismount Torrent for a while to let loose your most powerful attacks. But be wary, when too close, Agheel may rear up into the air and hover more a moment, before slamming back into the ground with force. Always be prepared to hop back on torrent and get away at a moment’s notice.

Flying Dragon Agheel Boss Mechanics

  • When you are close to the body of the Dragon, Agheel may raise a claw up into the air and slam it down for some quick damage and disruption.
  • Flying Fragon Agheel can let loose a gout of flame all around it while crouched low to the ground. The fire spreads out in a wide area, it may be necessary to dodge back quickly before summoning Torrent to cover move ground.
  • When at mid-range, Agheel will often aim towards you with its flames, covering a large distance in a short space of time.
  • Agheel can take off into to the air and lay down a line of flame as it flies forward. It is best to summon Torrent as soon as you see the dragon take to the air.

When defeated, Agheel will drop 5000 runes and a Dragon Heart. This will also unlock Agheel’s Flame for purchase at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion. We will have a guide for how to reach the Cathedral up at WePC very soon!
