Elden Ring is stacked full of unique weapons, some of which you can only get in the right areas by killing the right enemies. The Gargoyle’s Halberd in Elden Ring has great scaling with both strength and dex, so if you’re a melee-focused character who wants some reach on their side, then it could be the best choice. We’ll show you exactly where to find this weapon and what it can be useful for.

Finding the Gargoyle’s Halberd in Elden Ring

This is quite a late-game item, but it’s not too tough to get your hands on. Make your way through the game until you hit the Altus Plateau and get inside of the capital city itself. From here, you’ll need to explore the city until you’ve made your way to the West Capital Ramparts point of grace. If you’re struggling to find it, we can help you out a bit. From the East Capital Ramparts where you start, head out into the city and follow the city walls south. Enter the building ahead and quickly climb onto the lift on the right of the entrance. At the bottom, immediately jump over the fence to your right and spring forward, ignoring all the enemies.

You should hit the main road, from here, you can run along it heading southwest. At some point, a miniboss will spawn in from nowhere, and just behind him will be a golden doorway. Head through the doorway and down the flight of stairs. To the right, you should find the Avenue Balcony point of grace. From here, head down more stairs and run straight ahead, dodging the arrows from the soldier ahead. Climb up the dragon wing behind him until you find a ledge with a ladder that you can jump up to. Climb the ladder, then run up the stairs. Ahead are several enemies, but you can mostly ignore them again. Run past them into the building and keep going until you see a point of grace on your left. Welcome to the West Capital Ramparts.

After the Ramparts

Now that you have access to the right point of grace, you can get stuck into the real part of the job here. Run out from the point of grace and ahead you should see a gargoyle hanging around some of those little white things. That giant gargoyle is the target for anyone hunting for a new halberd. Run in and start swinging, don’t worry too much about the little white guys. Their attacks are mostly ineffectual and on top of that, the Gargoyle is liable to kill them himself with his big swings. Try to stay under his legs, but don’t get too greedy because he also hits like a freight train. Once he’s dead, you should receive the Gargoyle’s Halberd as an item drop.

How useful is the Gargoyle’s Halberd in Elden Ring

The Gargoyle’s Halberd is a decent weapon that scales both Dex and Strength, but with more of a focus on the latter. It also has pretty low dex requirements, so you can be sure that you won’t have to invest much in levels even if you’re a strength-only melee build. The weapon has a standard Spinning Slash weapon art, so when it comes to groups of enemies you should be able to handle things easily. Of course, because it has a basic weapon art, you can also consider swapping it out with something more fun which gives the weapon some versatility.
