Elden Ring has a completely insane magic system with some of the flashiest spells that have ever been seen in a FromSoftware game before. In the earlier stages of the game, being a magic-user can give you a distinct advantage over other builds, and when combined with swords you have pretty much every base covered at once. If you want a killer staff for the earlier parts of the game, then this Meteorite Staff Location guide will show you exactly how to get your hands on one.

Meteorite Staff Location

Luckily the Meteorite Staff is available pretty much from the get-go, but it is also found in a pretty high-level area. You can grab it as soon as you’ve got Shadow on your side, but make sure that you don’t try and fight anything on the way or you’re going to have a bad time. Make your way to Caelid and follow the main road until you reach the Smouldering Wall point of grace. From here you should see a cliff that overlooks the swamp to the southeast. If you stand on the edge, you should see a group of ruins below you. That’s where the staff is hiding.

Pick your way carefully down into the south and head for the southernmost building in the cluster. It should look like a small ruined tower. Inside you’ll see a bunch of those poison flowers and a corpse hanging from a ledge. Take out the flowers and grab your prize. The Meteorite Staff has great Intelligence scaling and even boosts gravity magic which is a pretty killer combo even against powerful early-to-mid-game bosses and enemies for a magic user.
