Elden Ring has some truly powerful weapons lying around the game world, even if FromSoftware keeps trying to nerf all of the really fun ones. If you’ve got your hands on the right sort of weapon, you can pretty much walk straight through some of the hardest challenges that the game has to offer, and one such useful weapon is the Prelate’s Inferno Crozier. This guide will show you exactly how to find the weapon, and what it can be used for.

Where to find the Prelate’s Inferno Crozier

Prelate's Inferno Crozier Map

The Prelate’s Inferno Crozier can be found in the Mt. Gelmir region of Elden Ring, so you’re going to have to either beat the magma dragon boss or find both halves of the Dedactus Medallion to ride the lift up to the Altus Plateau. Once you’re there, you need to make your way to the Seethewater Terminus site of grace in Mt Gelmir. From the western part of the region, head north until you hit the Wyndham Ruins. Head to the left of the ruins to find a riverbed that twists around the mountain. Carefully follow it around until you see a fort with a site of grace just ahead of it. This point of grace is the Seethewater Terminus site of grace we’ve been looking for, so go and rest at it and get ready for the tough part.

Beating the miniboss

From the Seethewater Terminus site of grace, head straight towards the keep ahead, ignoring most of the enemies. Head to the right of the keep, and you should find some stairs being guarded by a Flame Monk. You can just ignore him and head straight in if you want, but since this is basically a field boss, that’s going to mean you have to fight the enemy ahead and the Flame Monk at the same time. Either way, when you get inside, you’ll find a giant flaming dude who is holding the weapon that you’ve been looking for.

The fight isn’t overly difficult, though he uses a lot of flame-based attacks from a medium distance. Equip some fire protection, or use a spell, then just don’t get overly greedy against him. He has a surprisingly small health bar for a mini-boss with a weapon this cool, so just be patient, and don’t get caught on the level geometry. If the Flame Monk is also giving you trouble, try to kite around the enemies so they’re both together, as this makes it easier to dodge their combined fire moves.

What is the Prelate’s Inferno Crozier useful for?

The Prelate’s Inferno Crozier is 100% a strength-based weapon, and it requires a staggering 45 strength if you want to wield it one-handed. It also has one hell of a unique weapon skill called Prelate’s Charge. This skill has you slam the hammer into the ground, then charge forward wreathed in flame. It constantly costs FP to use, but is one hell of a way to blase through tough crowds of enemies, especially if you go and grab the flame-boosting talisman.
