There are very few things as exciting on FIFA 23 as sinking your teeth into a good Career Mode. The things you want from a fresh save will vary, but a gunman up top is always important. Depending on which club you choose your may not have much of a budget, meaning the profile of players you want are going to vary.
If you’re doing a Championship save, it’s difficult not to bring in a big beefy striker that suits the league. The main thing you’re always going to want is a forward who is young, one who can develop and grow. Players like Mbappé and Haaland will not be on this list, despite how young they are, because there are very few clubs in the world who could genuinely afford these players and they have both only just committed their futures to their clubs.
Taking all of that into account, here are who we think will be the best strikers for a Career Mode on FIFA 23 – these the players range in quality and price:
Best strikers in FIFA 23 Career Mode?
Name | Club | Nationality | Rating | Potential |
Antonio Nusa | Club Brugge | Norway | 68 | 88 |
Rayan Cherki | Olympique Lyon | France | 73 | 88 |
Charles De Ketelaere | A.C. MIlan | Belgium | 78 | 88 |
Youssofa Moukoko | Borussia Dortmund | German | 69 | 88 |
Karim Adeyami | Borussia Dortmund | German | 75 | 87 |
Joe Gelhardt | Leeds United | England | 72 | 87 |
Moise Kean | Juventus | Italy | 78 | 86 |
Henrique Araújo | SL Benfica | Portugal | 71 | 85 |
Benjamin Šeško | Red Bull Salzburg | Slovenia | 72 | 85 |
Wilfried Gnonto | Leeds United | Italy | 69 | 85 |
None of the players on this list have peaked in their career yet because they are all quite young, which is key to a good Career Mode signing. There are other good choices if you are at one of the really top top teams that have been left out, like Lautaro Martínez, who would be unaffordable for most clubs.
Moukoko will be the most desirable player on this list and in real life he may not fancy a move away from Borussia Dortmund, but a lot can change in football so you shouldn’t worry.
There are also a lot of great older strikers in the game if you do want to bring in an elder statesman to steady the ship. Players like Olivier Giroud and Edinson Cavani spring to mind, who are both in their 30’s but could be great if that’s the kind of place you want to take your save.
