FIFA 23 pre orders are now available across various retailers, so we look at the different FIFA 23 pre order bonus options for the FIFA 23 Ultimate and Standard editions.

We suspect there won’t be a FIFA 23 demo, however, those who pre order will get early access to the latest football game.

The Ultimate Edition will cost you £89.99 and offers a long list of pre order bonuses.

FIFA 23 pre order bonus

Last year, FIFA fans could pre order FIFA 22 from June 11th and you were required to pre order the game before August 11th to ensure you received an untradeable FUT Heroes Player Item as part of your pre-order bonuses.

You can now pre order FIFA 23 and the bonus options for each edition look similar to previous titles.

EA never go too crazy with naming conventions on their latest FIFA game editions and FIFA 23 shows that.

  • LIMITED TIME ONLY: If you Pre-Ordered the game before August 21st you will get a FIFA World Cup FUT Heroes Player Item: See the full list of Heroes here

What did we see last year? Fans could buy the Standard and Ultimate edition for all platforms last year (excluding Nintendo Switch which had the ‘Legacy Edition’).

We expect something similar for FIFA 23, with the FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition coming with various FUT players, items, cosmetics, FIFA points, and early access.

The FIFA 23 Standard edition should also include early access as a pre order bonus.

FIFA 22 pre order bonuses included:

Last year, FIFA 21 owners were given a loyalty bonus for upgrading to the new game.

You could save yourself 10% by pre ordering through the game’s main screen.

At the bottom right there was a tab that said “PRE ORDER FIFA 22” – and you could click through to add a 10% discount to your basket automatically.

FIFA 23 pre order early access date

How to pre order FIFA 23

To pre order FIFA 23, you will need to purchase a physical or digital copy of the game.

You will receive information regarding your pre order bonuses closer to the launch date.

All major retailers and online game stores will stock this game.

Can you get a discount when pre ordering FIFA 23?

With FIFA 22, those who pre ordered the game through their PC/ console main menu received a discount.

You can also get a discount if you buy the game and you’re subscribed to EA Play. The discount is 10%, regardless of which edition you buy.

Could we get FIFA 23 Career Mode pre order bonuses?

Some of those that pre-ordered FIFA 22 may remember a bonus called ‘Career Mode Homegrown Talent‘.

This was a Career Mode feature, where one of your youth talents has big potential to be a world-class footballer.

Anyone who pre-ordered the game received this benefit to start their manager career and FIFA 23 will be no different. Although how good of a bonus this is, is still debatable.

Will FIFA 23 be available on last-gen consoles (PS4/ Xbox One)?

Nothing official has been released about FIFA 23 just yet, however, we can safely assume that FIFA 23 will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms as it was on FIFA 22.

Although more and more features are being left off the previous generation of consoles, so it is only a matter of time.

Will FIFA 23 pre order bonuses be the same on PS4?

Yes, the FIFA 23 pre order bonuses that you get depend on the Edition you purchase.

Will FIFA 23 be on Switch?

Considering that the Nintendo Switch is Nintendo’s best selling console ever, it’s highly likely that FIFA 23 will arrive on Switch.

But don’t expect it to use a flashy Frostbite engine. The Switch version of FIFA typically uses an engine called Ignite, because the it better suits the console’s power limitations.

However, it is a vastly different game to the other console versions, with last year’s FIFA 22 on Switch (which was called the Legacy edition) scoring poorly with top critics.

Nintendo Life, arguably one of the best Switch-focused publications around, wrote in their detailed review: “It may clearly state Legacy Edition on the title, but being kicked in the groin isn’t any less painful if your assailant tells you they’re going to do it in advance.”

Let’s hope FIFA 23 tries something different for the Legacy Edition of the game, especially as it will be EA Sports last outing with the FIFA branding.
