UPDATE: The official Doctor Who Twitter profile has since released the reveal video for the Creative map, TARDIS Landing Site. They haven’t mentioned whether there’s more to come from this collaboration, so we’ll have to wait and see if there’s more to come out of the Tardis in the future…

At the time of writing, we are but two days away from the brand new season of Fortnite. As such, there are rumors galore across the Twittersphere, reddit, and anywhere else you care to look, to be honest. Suggestions are coming in thick and fast about what we might expect from Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2, including Star Wars and Marvel collabs, the return of vaulted weapons and vehicles and more. But today, one which has got more traction than any is a potential Fortnite crossover with the Doctor Who universe, triggered – no less – by BBC Studios themselves.

Doctor Who Fortnite Creative Island code

A Fortnite Creative Island based on the Doctor Who universe has since been revealed. The Map, created by @quantumbuilds, is called Tardis Landing Site, and can be accessed by entering the Island Code 3610-1396-4646. This is, perhaps, what the above Tweet from the BBC is alluding to, given the four-four-four pattern of the digits at the bottom of the video.

Fortnite’s Tardis Landing Site

The map asks players to gather four crystals in order to repair the Dynamorphic Generators and restore power to the TARDIS. It is, at its core, a parkour map, asking Loopers to complete some basic parkour challenges to reach said crystals. Upon completion of the map, players are rewarded with another code. This one can be redeemed for a TARDIS Spray.

However, the TARDIS Spray is apparently only available to the first five million players who redeem the code, and this will no doubt come quickly, since the code itself has been leaked online and Loopers no longer even need to complete the map to earn it. In order to redeem the code, you’ll need to head to Epic Games redemption site, login with the Epic Games account you use for Fortnite, and enter the code. The next time you log in to Fortnite, you should see the TARDIS Spray in your locker.

Having said all this, for a franchise as huge as Doctor Who, a simple Creative Island doesn’t quite seem like enough. Typically, big names like this usually get Outfits, Quests, even Battle Pass rewards. So could we be getting Doctor Who Fortnite skins soon?

Doctor Who x Fortnite collaboration

Since the original tweet was released by BBC Studios themselves, they have clearly given the green light for this Creative Island and are fully behind a collaboration with Fortnite. This strongly suggests that there could well be more behind this crossover than the TARDIS Landing Site. With a new season just around the corner, players are wondering if the Battle Pass will be themed around Doctor Who – in much the same way Season 1 heavily featured Spider-Man.

At the moment, we are no closer to an answer on this and will just have to wait that bit longer to find out just who or what will be the focus of Fortnite’s Chapter 3, Season 2 Battle Pass. Though, to be honest, we’re still pinning all our hopes on Star Wars…

What would you like to see in the Chapter 3, Season 2 Fortnite Battle Pass? And would you be looking forward to more from this Doctor Who collab? Let us know down in the comments below, and keep us busy while we wait for the new season to start…
