In yet another Fortnite giveaway, you can get some more brand-new cosmetic items – including the Thorns of Passion Pickaxe – this time celebrating Valentine’s Day.
It seems there’s new Fortnite freebies to collect every week at the moment. Right now, you can get your hands on the Rainbow Racer Outfit set, the Mace of Hearts Pickaxe, and now this new trio of items. Plus, Epic Games gave away the Heart’s Desire weapon wrap recently to apologise for server downtime. That’s a lot of new goodies. So here’s what you need to do to add the Doomed Affair Spray, the Hearty Wrap and the Thorns of Passion Pickaxe to your locker as part of the Stoneheart Trials.
What are the Stoneheart Trails?
The Stoneheart Trials is an event running in Fortnite at the moment testing your skills in Solo matches. All you need to do is play Fortnite, and prove you’re among the best of the best in the Battle Royale, as you place in the Top 10. The more times you place in the Top 10 in Solos, the more rewards you earn!
How to get the Hearty Wrap and Thorns of Passion Pickaxe
Firstly, you need to sign up to partake in the Stoneheart Trials, you won’t be entered automatically. Sign up by heading to the dedicated event website, and logging into the Epic Games account associated with your Fortnite profile.
Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be able to keep track of your progress through the Trials. Again, the more times you place in the Top 10 in Solo matches, the more badges you’ll earn, and thus the more rewards will be yours. Find out exactly how much you need below.

One Badge will be given for every two times you place in the Top 10 in a Solo match, therefore you’ll need a total of 22 Top 10 placements in order to redeem the Thorns of Passion Pickaxe. The Hearty wrap will be awarded at 12 placements. This will only include placements during the event duration, and after sign-up.
The Stoneheart Trials ends at 8:59pm PST/11:59pm EST on February 20th, 2022, 4:59am on February 21st, 2022.
When is the Stoneheart Night Tournament?
What’s more is there’s yet another freebie from the Stoneheart event – the Grim Devotion Emoticon. In order to throw this Emoticon up in-game, you’ll need to play on one of a selection of Creative maps and then vote for your favorite (so you might want to try more than one).
The winning map will then be the basis for the Stoneheart Night Tournament, taking place on February 20th, 2022. You have until 2:59pm PST/5:59pm EST/10:59pm GMT on February 19th, 2022 to get your vote in and earn your Grim Devotion reward.
