We all want to know when The Rock is coming to Fortnite. Well, depending on how you look at it, The Rock is sort of already on the Fortnite map. His character is anyway.
Fans of Fortnite’s evolving lore will know from the Chapter 2 The End event that The Rock was confirmed as being the voice – and now the face – of The Foundation. Before the event, we had already seen The Foundation, but his character was only known to have his face covered by a helmet. Fans speculated that the voice belonged to Dwayne Johnson, and the Wrestler and actor all-but confirmed that in a brief promotional video, shortly before The End.
The End of Fortnite Chapter 2
The End event showed our beloved Jonesy, and us, come into contact with The Foundation once again. Only, this time, he removed his helmet, revealing the gorgeous animated face of Dwayne Johnson in the crossover we all didn’t know we absolutely needed.
Since then, The Foundation (helmet on) has been roaming the Fortnite map, and you can (try to) eliminate him for one of the best weapons in the game. However, this isn’t really why you’re here. You want to know when The Rock is coming to Fortnite…
When is The Rock Foundation skin coming to Fortnite?
What we actually want to know is – when can we get our own The Rock skin? It has been teased to us on the Battle Pass tab since day one of Chapter 3, after all. The bonus challenges will allow us to earn the special The Foundation skin, in much the same way as Superman, Predator and Wolverine in previous seasons.
And, good news, we don’t have to wait long until the challenges are revealed to us, as the in-game counter reveals the Foundation Challenges release date as February 3rd, 2022 at 6am PST/9am EST/2pm GMT. At this point the challenges will unlock, and we’ll be able to see what we need to do to get The Rock’s Fortnite skin.
How to get The Rock Fortnite skin and cosmetics
There are actually 11 items to collect in total, and there is one in particular you’ll need to unlock to be able to rock The Rock’s look in game (not very imaginative, I know). The base skin and variants all come with The Foundation’s helmet on, but once you redeem and equip the Tactical Visor Toggle Emote, you’ll be able to reveal Dwayne Johnson’s cartoonish face in all his flexible-eyebrowed glory.
