Forza Horizon 5 is out now, with driving enthusiasts exploring Mexico in the safety of their fast, sports, off-roaders, and drifting vehicles. Now that the game is here and players are getting to test out the variety of vehicles, it appears that there are a plethora of cars out there that you should get.

The best cars in Forza Horizon 5 – Our methodology

Okay, so working what the best cars in Forza Horizon 5 is harder than it appears. There are quite a lot of factors to consider, especially with the variety of activities available. Some people love to drag race their friends in multiplayer or beat the AI in adventure mode missions. Meanwhile, people want to drift around corners, pulling off some incredible stunts. And, that doesn’t exclude the luxury car lovers, who want the most fashionable and luxurious cars out there. So, our methodology is to view the Forza Horizon 5 cars with as many metrics as possible. Some of our options might not the best in that metric, but they also provide value elsewhere or have a reasonable price tag, whether in real life or in-game.

Forza Horizon 5 –  Best cars for each class or activity

Best Streetcar

Is it even a racing game if the Bugatti is not mentioned? The Bugatti is one of the most iconic cars for street racing and track racing, allowing the driver to unleash unnatural power on the tarmac. The reason why is because the Bugatti Divo has a speed rating of 9.6, along with handling of 9.9, allowing you to go fast and drive smoothly across all tarmac street races. Not to mention its acceleration is a perfect 10. Although, don’t go drag racing with this thing, as its launch is not that great.

Alternatively, you can go for the fastest car in the game, the Koenigsegg Jesko.

Fastest Car

If you’re all about speed, the Koenigsegg Jesko is the fastest car in Forza Horizon 5. The car has powerful notoriety among the community for its 300+MPH speeds, which it can consistently achieve. If you are looking for the adrenaline of going at such unnatural speeds, this car is for you.

Best Drift Car

One of the best cars for track racing, while offering you the grip you need for drifting, is the BMW X5 M Forza Edition. The reality of the car is that it is incredibly quick, (more detail on this later) while its grip keeps it from spinning off the track, into some  Mexican dune or Mayan architecture. Unfortunately, the car is locked behind the VIP Pass, so, if you’re not into that, then we advise looking for an alternative.

While the Toyota you get in your starter car options is not that great overall, it will teach you the introduction to drifting on the track. From then on, you should get yourself the Hoonicorn. It’s one of the only great drifting cars you can buy with actual credits, setting you back 500k. There is the Dodge Challenger, but that is paywalled behind the VIP pass. And there is a special Drift DLC that cost money too. Sorry to say this, but you’re options are fairly limited in this department.

Best Drag Car

The two most important factors when assessing the best drag car in Forza Horizon 5 is how good the car’s launch is, alongside its acceleration. The third most important metric is its speed. Reaching max acceleration lets you get to your max speed quicker, and when cars are at the max speed, that is what matters the most to catch up or take over the lead.

  1. Porsche 918 Spyder
  2. 2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition
  3. 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

All the cars on this list have 10 rating launches and acceleration, making these the best three cars for starting off a Drag race. So, the deciding factor for the cars comes down to the speed. The Porsche Spyder has the highest speed of the three at 8.8, followed by the BMW at 8, and the Lambo at third with 7.8. However, these are the cars’ base ratings and don’t reflect the tuning you will do. If you prefer these cars more than any other, feel free to opt for those cars instead and tune them up to your heart’s content. Note, each of these cars serves different purposes, so the Porsche is great if you’re all about the streetcars. If you want Luxury sport, the Lambo is your pick, and if you like drifting, the BMW is great too.

Best Offroader

Honestly, there are two king standouts in the best offroader car in Forza Horizon 5. The first is the Ford Bronco. The car is made easy to get due to the Welcome pack, so you can ease those missions out very quickly. Alternatively, you can get the Jeep, the king of the British countryside. The Jeep is fairly cheap, as you can buy it for 75,000 credits.

Best jumping challenge cars

The key to the best jumping car challenges requires speed and acceleration to pull off correctly. Everything else simply doesn’t matter. So, suppose you want to do the craziest stunt jumps. In that case, you’ll want some supercar that does the trick, some great options are anything under the name Koenigsegg or Bugatti, but throughout this article, you’ll have found cars that have great speed or acceleration so that you can go with them too. Be careful not to overextend your target, as different challenges will require different speeds to reach.
