Forza Horizon 5 has been out for just about two weeks now and we’re seeing the first update. Thankfully, the game hasn’t been riddled with bugs and issues (like certain other big launches). So, the main update is more about smoothing out an already-good experience.

This new update spans across all of the game’s platforms, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC and Steam. We’ll go through the main fixes but if you want to have an in-depth look at the patch notes, you can find them here. If there’s any bug or issue you’ve encountered that hasn’t been noticed, you can report them on the community page.

Forza 5 update today: Stability fixes

The overall gameplay has been smoothed out more. This includes fixing several problems that caused the game to crash. Specifically, there were instances where earning an emote whilst being offline could cause the game to crash. Starting a Horizon Arcade and spawning traffic cards could also cause the game to crash.

Although rarer, there were instances where players encountered a crash when loading EventLab events and upgrading cars.

Multiplayer fixes

As with any multiplayer game’s launch, there’ll be certain bugs and issues that weren’t encountered during playtesting. But that being said, Forza Horizon has had a pretty great launch when it comes to its servers and general stability. But of course, no game is perfect, so the developers have been working hard on honing in on any of the game’s issue that did slip through the cracks.

Specifically, there’s been an improvement of stability of Horizon Life connections and online traffic. An issue where player’s car would get stopped when losing connection to Horizon Life has also been fixed. A player’s car would get stopped when losing connection to Horizon Life has been dealt with. Developers have also disabled Convoy voice chat to help track down the long load times in Online events. Finally, improvements have been made to Horizon Arcade for other player visibility; and joining and leaving Arcade events Fixed Eliminator Head to Heads not ending when players reached the finish point.

Rewards

A few players weren’t receiving their loyalty rewards for playing Forza Motorsport 5. And an issue with Car Collection has been fixed, one where it was possible that a player could lose pending rewards if they quit the game.
