Genshin Impact’s latest update brings with it a slew of new events over the coming weeks, starting from October 13th. Alongside the current limited-time codes for 300 Prima gems and the upcoming new gacha rolls, the game is updating with a bevvy of new things to do, including some refreshes of older content.

In a vain attempt to completely mask the current disappointment, Genshin Impact is throwing the equivalent of sweets into our collective faces by introducing a whole new area, as well as three new quest lines.

Labyrinth Warriors Event

The whole 2.2 event is under the banner “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog”, which will focus on the Labyrinth Warriors event. From the description and sounds of things, you’ll have to wade through a survival-esque area with ever surmounting odds, as you explore five different floors for rewards.

Two teams go in, with an attacking and defending team, so I suspect you’ll want to grab as many characters beforehand to ensure that you can do repeat goes without having to hang around and wait. Xinyan can also be invited to join your party.

The event isn’t just about surviving though, as you’ll be able to buff your characters with different Shikifuda to help even the odds as you climb each floor.

The rewards for the Labyrinth Warriors are:

  • Primogems
  • Crown of Insight
  • Acension Materials
  • Talent Level-Up Materials
  • Mystic Enhancement Ore
  • More
  • EXP Materials

Shadow of the Ancients

genshin 2 2 fight

This event centres around a new hulking Anomalous Model Ruin Grader, a boss character that needs to have extensive research put in to ensure a solid method of defeating it. The event is split into three different quests, where you’ll do your usual surveying the land for specific areas, a defence section as you try to charge data sampling spikes with electro attacks and finally, a showdown with the robot itself.

This fight will only end if all the electro spikes are activated, as the Grader will simply get back up and start fighting again if you happen to knock it down. There’s a lot of specific things to do for extra rewards – looks like your usual Mora and item affair – with 100 primogems up for grabs for beating the beast.

Tune to the World’s Sounds

genshin rhythm game

You’ll be gifted a small Floral Zither by Kazuha and join different characters for songs across three different difficulties (Normal, Hard and Pro), for rewards at each level. These include Primogems, Mora, EXP, Talent and Mystic Ore materials.

This mode makes a return with additional updates, including long notes you need to hold down the button for and the sidekick that will join you.

Dreams of Bloom

Gardening takes the centre stage of this event, as you plant and meet requirements based on what you’ve grown for rewards. This includes your usual affair, but also Sakuya’s Special Gardening Package. You’ll then be able to take the plants and decorate your Teapot, as well as send them to friends.

Seeds not used in this event will be deleted from your account afterwards. Each seed can generate up to three types of flowers, so you’ll have to rely on the powers that be to get the right ones for whatever quest comes up.

Ley Line Overflow

Returning to Genshin Impact is the various material boost event that happens three times a day, the Ley Line Overflow event! Hooray! Grab tonnes of EXP and Mora to get your characters back up to speed for the brand new events happening in 2.2.

Hangout Events: Series 3

genshin hangout

You can look forward to hanging out with two characters, including the new Thoma, as you discover more about their lives and stories in the world of Genshin Impact.
