Genshin Impact – How to Get Wishes

Genshin Impact’s gacha system is at the heart of the game. Through the gacha system, also known as wishing, players can obtain new characters and weapons to add to their roster through wishing on different banners. Acquaint Fates are wishes used on the Standard banner, and Intertwined Fates are wishes used on any of the limited Event Banners. But in order to wish on a particular banner, you’ll need to obtain some wishes. Luckily for you, there are a few different ways to get your hands on some. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get wishes in Genshin Impact.

Primogems

Collecting Primogems is the main way you’ll be obtaining wishes. With every 160 Primogems you have, you can redeem 1 wish – either an Acquaint Fate, or an Intertwined Fate. Primogems can be obtained through various means; from chests, Quest rewards, Event rewards, Hangout rewards, Achievements, Spiral Abyss rewards, Daily Commissions and more.

Paimon’s Bargains

You can also redeem other currencies for wishes. For 5 Masterless Starglitter, you can receive 1 Acquaint or Intertwined Fate. For 75 Masterless Stardust, you can receive 1 Acquaint or Intertwined Fate; however, you can only redeem 5 per Fate per month. After that, you’ll have to wait until the next month for the shop to reset.

Character Ascension

After surpassing certain character Ascension Phases, you’ll receive a single Acquaint Wish for your troubles. These Phases are Phase 1, Phase 3 and Phase 5, so you’ll receive 3 Acquaint Fates per character.

Adventure Rank and Adventure Rank Ascension

Once you reach certain Adventure Rank levels, you’ll receive 1 Acquaint Fate. Additionally, once you complete an Adventure Rank Ascension World Quest to increase your World Level, you will receive 2 Acquaint Fates. There are 4 of these World Quests in total, giving you 8 Acquaint Fates overall.

Special Level Rewards

There are a few upgradeable entities in Genshin that will also reward you with wishes.

Frostbearing Tree’s Gratitude

By levelling up the Frostbearing Tree, you will receive a total of 4 Acquaint Fates and 2 Intertwined Fates.

Sacred Sakura’s Favor

By levelling up the Sacred Sakura, you will receive a total of 20 Acquaint Fates and 2 Intertwined Fates.

Lumenstone Adjuvant

By levelling up the Lumenstone Adjuvant, you will receive a total of 4 Acquaint Fates and 2 Intertwined Fates.

Battle Pass

On the Sojourner’s Battle Pass, you can obtain 1 Acquaint Fate for each 10th level, for a total of 5 per Battle Pass period. On the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass, you will additionally receive 1 Intertwined Fate at levels 10, 20, 30, and 40.
