Lisa is a 4-star Electro Catalyst character who all players receive during Genshin Impact’s Prologue. Besides that, she is only available on the Wanderlust Invocation Standard Banner, and occasionally in the Stardust Shop. She can specialise as a Burst Support or Electro DPS. Keep reading to find out what materials are needed to Ascend Lisa, her best builds and an overview of how to use her effectively.

Lisa Ascension Stat

All characters in Genshin Impact have a particular stat that levels up alongside their base stats. For Lisa, this extra stat is Elemental Mastery. This will help to increase the DMG of her Elemental Reactions.

Lisa Ascension Materials

Once you have obtained Lisa and maxed her to Level 20, she can be further levelled up through Ascension. The materials you will need to Ascend Lisa are as follows:

Vajrada Amethyst Slivers, Fragments, Chunks and Gemstones can be obtained by defeating Electro Hypostasis, located in Mondstadt, and the Thunder Manifistation, located in Inazuma.

Lightning Prisms can be obtained by defeating the Electro Hypostasis, located in Mondstadt.

Valberries can be found across Mondstadt. They are mainly located on Stormbearer Mountains.

Slime Condensate, Slime Secretions and Slime Concentrate can be obtained by defeating Slimes, which can be found all over Teyvat.

Lisa Talent Materials

In order to make Lisa stronger, you’ll need to upgrade her talents. The materials you will need are as follows:

  • Slime Condensate
  • Slime Secretions
  • Slime Concentrate
  • Teachings of Ballad
  • Guide to Ballad
  • Philosophies of Ballad
  • Dvalin’s Claw

The Teachings, Guide and Philosophies of Ballad can be obtained by completing the Domain of Mastery: Realm of Slumber every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, Dvalin’s Claw is a potential drop from the Weekly Stormterror Challenge.

Lisa Best Weapons

Genshin Impact Lisa Weapon

As a Burst Support, Lisa tends to favour weapons with Energy Recharge in order to get her Burst up consistently. Because of this, she can make good use of the Favonius Codex, which gives plenty of Energy Recharge with its substat, as well as with its passive. Mappa Mare is a good F2P option, and although the Elemental Mastery substat isn’t particularly special, its passive is: upon triggering an Elemental Reaction, Lisa gains an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus for 10s, which stacks up to 2 times. This is great since it’ll increase the DMG of her Burst. The F2P Oathsworn Eye can also work on Lisa; it has an ATK% substat which is nice, and a passive which increases Energy Recharge for 10s after using an Elemental Skill, which is great for charging up Lisa’s Burst.

However, for a Burst Support Build, Thrilling Tales Of Dragon Slayers is arguably her best in slot. While the HP% substat is useless on her, the passive more than makes up for it; when Lisa switches out, the new character taking the field has their ATK increased for 10s. At Max Refinement (which should be easy to achieve,) ATK is increased by 48%, which is huge. With this weapon, Lisa can use her Burst, then switch out to your Main DPS who can deal tonnes of DMG with their increased ATK.

For a DPS build, Lisa’s best in slot is Kagura’s Verity. Not only does it have a massive CRIT DMG substat, but it also has a passive which will ultimately increase her Elemental DMG when she uses her Elemental Skill. She can also make good use of Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds and Skyward Atlas.

In terms of 4-star weapons, there are a few that you could choose. Solar Pearl will give Lisa a good amount of CRIT Rate, and The Widsith will give her a tonne of CRIT DMG on top of a very nice passive. You could also use the F2P Oathsworn Eye.

Lisa Best Artifacts

The best Artifact set for Burst Support Lisa is 4-Piece Noblesse Oblige, since it will not only increase her Burst DMG, but it will also increase your team’s ATK by 20% for 12s upon using her Burst. This massively helps to increase her support capabilities.

Alternatively, if you want her to hit a little harder, Burst Support Lisa can also use 4-Piece Emblem of Severed Fates. Because she needs high Energy Recharge to keep her Burst up, 4-Piece Emblem of Severed Fate works very nicely on her; it increases both her Energy Recharge and her Elemental Burst DMG based on her overall Energy Recharge. You could also use 4-Piece Noblesse Oblige if you don’t have a dedicated user of this set on your team.

For a DPS build, you could use 2-Piece Thundering Fury with either 2-Piece Gladiator’s Finale or 2-Piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, which will help to increase her overall DMG output.

For low-level players, 2-Piece Berserker and 2-Piece Piece Martial Artist, 4-Piece The Exile or 4-Piece Instructor work well until you’re able to get higher level Artifacts.

Genshin Impact Lisa Artifacts

For your Artifact main stats, you will want to run:

ArtifactMain Stat
SandsEnergy Recharge / ATK%
GobletElectro DMG Bonus
CircletCRIT DMG / Rate

Your Sands’ main stat largely depends on what Lisa build you’re going for; a Support build will likely do better with Energy Recharge, whilst DPS Lisa will favour the extra ATK. In terms of Artifact substats, you’ll want to focus on ATK%, Energy Recharge and both CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate. For a Burst Support build, you should prioritise Energy Recharge.

How to use Lisa

Her Elemental Skill, Violet Arc, has different effects depending on whether it is pressed or held. On press, Lisa releases a homing Lightning Orb. On hit, it deals Electro DMG and applies a stack of the Conductive statue (Max 3 stacks) to enemies in a small AoE. On hold, after an extended casting time, calls down lightning from the heavens, dealing massive Electro DMG to all nearby enemies. Deals great amounts of extra damage to enemies based on the number of Shock stacks applied to them, and clears their Conductive status.

Her Elemental Burst, Lightning Rose, summons a Lightning Rose that unleashes powerful lightning bolts, launching surrounding enemies and dealing Electro DMG. The Lightning Rose will continuously emit lightning to knock back enemies and deal Electro DMG for so long as it persists.

Lisa works as a great, underrated Burst Support for one particular reason: one of her passive talents, Static Electricity Field, decreases the DEF of enemies hit by Lightning Rose by 15% for 10s, which is very handy particularly in a Physical team comp. This is because she will not only debuff enemies, but also help proc Superconduct, which decreases enemies’ Physical RES. This means she pairs up well with Physical Main DPS characters such as Eula, Kaeya or Rosaria. The other two slots on this team comp could be filled by Bennett for the buffs and heals, Diona for shields, heals and Cryo Resonance, or a 4-Piece VV Anemo unit for crowd control and Elemental RES shredding.

While she isn’t the strongest DPS around, if you like Lisa then by all means you should use her! She can work in a Taser team featuring herself, Fischl as an Electro battery, Mona, Kokomi or Xingqiu for your Hydro application and once again, a 4-Piece VV Anemo unit for crowd control and Elemental RES shredding.
