Wolfhooks can be found in Wolvendom, in Mondstadt.

Damaged Masks, Stained Masks and Ominous Masks can be obtained by defeating Hilichurls, which can be found all over Teyvat.

Razor Talent Materials

In order to make Razor stronger, you’ll need to upgrade his talents. The materials you will need are as follows:

  • Damaged Mask
  • Stained Mask
  • Ominous Mask
  • Teachings of Resistance
  • Guide to Resistance
  • Philosophies of Resistance
  • Dvalin’s Claw

The Teachings, Guide and Philosophies of Resistance can be obtained by completing the Domain of Mastery: Frozen Abyss every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Meanwhile, Dvalin’s Claw is a potential drop from the Weekly Stormterror Challenge.

Razor Best Weapons

Razor has a few good weapon options that suit his skillset:

WeaponRarity
Song of Broken Pines5-star
Wolf’s Gravestone5-star
Serpent Spine4-star
Blackcliff Slasher4-star
Prototype Archaic4-star
Genshin Impact Razor Weapon

As a pure Physical DPS, Razor has a few good weapons at his disposal: Song of Broken Pines is an amazing choice, thanks to its very high Base ATK stat, as well as a very nice passive which will grant him increased ATK SPD and ATK%. It also features a Physical DMG Bonus substat, which is perfect for Razor. Wolf’s Gravestone is always a good choice too, since it will give you a huge amount of ATK overall. For the 4-star weapons, Serpent Spine and Blackcliff Slasher have CRIT Rate and DMG substats respectively, which will both help increase your overall DPS. For F2P players, Prototype Archaic is a solid choice and will give Razor plenty of ATK.

Despite seeming like a good weapon choice because of its Physical DMG Bonus substat, Snow-Tombed Starsilver isn’t that great for Razor. This is because its passive is generally quite clunky, and there are just other weapons that will do more for Razor, such as the ones mentioned above.

Razor Best Artifacts

Generally, 4-Piece Pale Flame is Razor’s best set. He’s usually able to keep up the 4-Piece passive, and so he’ll be able to get a lot out of this set. That being said, 2-Piece Pale Flame and 2-Piece Bloodstained Chivalry is also a great option if you don’t have a good 4-Piece set of Pale Flame, and can even out-DPS 4-Piece PF if your pieces have very good substats.

For low-level players, 2-Piece Berserker and 2-Piece Martial Artist or 4-Piece Martial Artist work well until you’re able to get higher level Artifacts.

How to use Razor

His Elemental Skill, Claw and Thunder, swings the Thunder Wolf Claw, dealing Electro DMG to opponents in front of Razor. Upon striking an opponent, Razor will gain an Electro Sigil, which increases his Energy Recharge rate. Razor can have up to 3 Electro Sigils simultaneously, and gaining a new Electro Sigil refreshes their duration. However, on hold, he gathers Electro Energy to unleash a lightning storm over a small AoE, causing massive Electro DMG, and clears all of Razor’s Electro Sigils. Each Electro Sigil cleared in this manner will be converted into Energy for Razor.

His Elemental Burst, Lightning Fang, summons the Wolf Within, which deals Electro DMG to all nearby opponents. This clears all of Razor’s Electro Sigils, which will be converted into Elemental Energy for him. The Wolf Within will fight alongside Razor for the skill’s duration. The Wolf Within strikes alongside Razor’s Normal Attacks, dealing Electro DMG. It also raises Razor’s ATK SPD and Electro RES, and causes Razor to be immune to DMG inflicted by the Electro-Charged status. Furthermore, it disables Razor’s Charged Attacks, and increases Razor’s resistance to interruption. These effects end when Razor leaves the battlefield, and when Razor leaves the field, a maximum of 10 Energy will be returned to him based on the duration remaining on this skill.

As a Physical Main DPS, the majority of Razor’s DMG comes from his Normal Attacks, although mostly during his Burst’s uptime due to the additional Electro DMG that is dealt. Since Razor’s Burst has a high Energy Cost of 80, you’ll definitely want to run him with an Electro battery; Fischl is a good choice, as is the Raiden Shogun. You’ll also want to run him with a Cryo character to proc Superconduct, which will decrease your opponent’s Physical RES, therefore allowing Razor to deal more DMG with his Normal Attacks; Kaeya, Rosaria and Diona are all good choices. Your final slot is a flex slot, so you could use Bennett (as long as he isn’t C6,) Zhongli, Xingqiu for additional Electro-Charged reactions, or another healer / shielder of your choice.

Since Razor’s Burst requires you to remain on-field and autoattacking for a while, you’ll want to use your supports before you activate it. Just be sure you don’t forget to proc Superconduct beforehand, otherwise you should be good to go! During his Burst’s downtime, you should cycle through pressing and holding his Skill in order to accumulate Energy, on top of the energy your Electro battery will be providing you with.
