⦁ Spectral Nucleus
⦁ Teachings of Transience

⦁ Philosophies of Transience
⦁ Hellfire Butterfly

How to find Kokomi’s Talent Materials

The Teachings, Guide and Philosophies of Transience can be obtained by completing the Domain of Mastery: Reign of Violet every Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Meanwhile, the Hellfire Butterfly is a potential drop from the Weekly Boss La Signora.

It is recommended that you prioritise levelling up her talent Kurage’s Oath first, as this is how she heals her allies, although you shouldn’t neglect levelling up Nereid’s Ascencion, either.

Best Kokomi builds in Genshin Impact

Kokomi works best as a Hydro Sub-DPS and healer hybrid, although depending on her Artifacts you can lean more into one or the other.

Everlasting Moonglow is her signature weapon, and her best in slot. It features a hefty HP substat which perfectly pairs with her healing abilities (which scale off her Max HP), and a high Base ATK which increases her overall DMG output. Everlasting Moonglow also sports a 10% Healing Bonus, and increases her Normal ATK DMG by 1% of her Max HP. Furthermore, it allows her to restore more Energy after using her Elemental Burst.

As this weapon provides such a boost to her healing output, her Artifacts can focus more on her DMG. 4-Piece Heart of Depth works well here, although if you do want her to heal even more you could use 2-Piece Heart of Depth and 2-Piece Tenacity of the Millelith / 2-Piece Maiden’s Beloved – these are relatively interchangeable, so the alternative 2-Piece set you choose will likely depend on which Artifacts have the best main stats and substats.

Kokomi build – Artifacts

Speaking of Artifacts, you will want to run:

⦁ HP% / ATK% Sands
⦁ Hydro DMG Bonus / HP% Goblet
⦁ Healing Bonus / HP% Circlet

In terms of Artifact substats, you’ll want to focus on HP%, ATK%, Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge. You likely won’t want to invest any CRIT stats into her, as Kokomi has -100% CRIT Rate. This isn’t as terrible as it sounds, because she gains a 25% Healing Bonus in return.

Alternatives for weapons include the Prototype Amber and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, both of which are available for free-to-play players. If you are a low-level player who does not have access to five star Artifacts yet, a good set to run on her is 2-Piece Adventurer and 2-Piece Martial Artist.

How To Use Kokomi in Genshin Impact

Kokomi’s Elemental Skill, Kurage’s Oath, summons a Bake-Kurage that deals continuous Hydro DMG and heals nearby allies periodically – even while Kokomi is off the field. This makes her great at setting up Elemental Reactions.

Her Elemental Burst, Nereid’s Ascension, deals Hydro DMG to nearby enemies, increases Kokomi’s Normal, Charged and Bake-Kurage DMG, and when her Normal and Charged Attacks hit enemies, all nearby allies restore HP. Both the DMG increase and HP restoration scale with Kokomi’s Max HP. Furthermore, her Burst increases her resistance to interruption, meaning she can continue to attack whilst being attacked herself, and she gains the ability to walk on water for a short period of time.

To capitalise on Kokomi’s off field capabilities, it’s beneficial to pair her with an Elemental DPS character. Potential choices include Ayaka or Ganyu, who can trigger Freeze whilst dealing high DMG. The Raiden Shogun or Fischl, who can trigger Electo-Charged, are good Sub-DPS choices as they can continuously trigger Elemental Reactions. Free-to-play options include Kaeya, Lisa or Xiangling. Having an Anemo Support character on your team is also useful as they can spread the Hydro Element and gather enemies within the Bake-Kurage’s AOE, so Sucrose, Venti or Kazuha are all good Support choices.

For example, in a team consisting of Kokomi, Ayaka, The Raiden Shogun and Sucrose, you will first want to use Kokomi’s Skill, then switch to The Raiden Shogun and use her Skill. Switch to Sucrose to use her Skill or Burst, then switch to Ayaka and use a combination of her Skill and Charged Attacks, making sure they are imbued with Cryo to Freeze your opponent, or even use her Burst. Once Kokomi’s Burst is charged up, switch to her, activate her Burst, then activate her Skill and bombard your opponent with Charged Attacks.

For a free-to-play team of Kokomi, Kaeya, Lisa and Xiangling, you will first want to use Kokomi’s Skill, then switch to Kaeya to Freeze your opponent using his Skill or Burst. Then you can switch to Lisa and use her Skill or Burst to deal high Superconduct DMG. Finally, you can switch to Xiangling and have her use her Skill or Burst for additional DMG. Once Kokomi’s Burst is charged up, you can follow the same combination as written above.
