Tatara Tales Genshin Impact – World Quest Walkthrough

Tatara Tales is a series of World Quests in Genshin Impact – 8 different quests, to be precise. The way you unlock each quest is also staggered: you can unlock the second Tatara Tales quest right after completing the first one, but the rest of the quests will only unlock the day after the previous quest’s completion. Here’s how to complete Tatara Tales in its entirety.
Tatara Tales
To start the quest, you’ll need to go to the Kujou Encampment and approach Miyuki and Toranosuke. You’ll then be prompted to talk to Xavier at a marked location. After, go to the Barrier Rift locations to investigate them, and return to Xavier after. Afterwards, head to the Kamujimia Cannon locations. Summon Electrograna to activate them, aim them at the Barrier Rifts, and destroy them all. Afterwards, report back to Xavier and defeat the Fatui that ambush you. Head to the marked location near the Mikage Furnace and take a picture of the Storage Device, by accessing the camera in the Paimon menu. Finally, return to Xavier and give him the photo.
Priority Investigation – Return to Tatarasuna and speak to Xavier. Then, you’ll go to the marked locations and place the 3 beacons around the Mikage Furnace. Report back to Xavier afterwards.
Purification Device – Talk to Xavier in Tatarasuna again. Afterwards, you’ll be prompted to collect some Crystal Marrows. Return to Xavier and give him 3 Crystal Marrows.
Data Collection – Talk to Xavier, and he’ll ask you to retrieve the beacons you placed in the second quest. Afterwards, report back to Xavier.
Process Is Everything – Talk to Xavier in Tatarasuna again, then go to the marked locations to take photos. Finally, give Xavier the 2 photos.
Functional Test – You know the drill; go talk to Xavier. You’ll then need to collect 3 Onikabuto beetles. Once you have them, give them to Xavier.
Final Preparations – Talk to Xavier at the usual place. You’ll then need to collect the Wooden Planks in the marked location by the Mikage Furnace. Head to the next three locations to repair the pathways. Once you’ve done this, talk to Xavier.
The Last Act
Talk to Xavier in Tatarasuna for the final time, then make your way to the Mikage Furnace. After the cutscene, look for the Missing Components. Bring these back to Xavier. Head to the Super-Smelter and defeat the Fatui enemies there, then head to the bottom of the Furnace and fight more Fatui. Talk to Xavier afterwards, before heading to the top of the Furnace. After the cutscene with Xavier, talk to Toranosuke at the Kujou Encampment. Congrats on finishing Tatara Tales!
