The PSVR 2 has been announced already, arriving on the 22nd of February, but what does this mean for existing games like Gran Turismo 7? Whilst Gran Turismo Sport offered a great racing experience using the original PlayStation VR, Gran Turismo 7 will now support the PS VR2 too!
Let’s take a look at some of the cool benefits of this new Gran Turismo 7 PSVR 2 free update.
Gran Turismo looks great in the PSVR 2
According to James Stavrinides at the PlayStation Blog, we can expect that all the newest features in resolution and display for the PSVR 2 will be utilised to their fullest potential.
So, is it much different from the original PSVR’s output in GT Sport? Well, according to this review, yes it is. Much better. Stavrinides writes: “Image quality and clarity are dramatically improved over those of GT Sport.”
Not only does it look good, it feels good too. With all of the immersive qualities of the PSVR 2, you’ll be guaranteed to feel the speed and ruggedness of the terrain.
The increased tangibility of a race car’s purpose-built, rough-and-ready interior, along with real limitations on visibility (narrower windshields, roll-bars, etc.), dramatically heightens the sense of speed and intensity of a race.

You’ll now be able to access the show room to gaze at the wonderful cars the game has to offer. Players can now look around any of the 450+ cars in the game using the VR Showroom, which is accessible from your Garage.
Get used to looking at the exterior and interior of any car you desire, peeping through the windshield surrounding by flappy gears, 5-speed manuals, steering wheels and beautiful dashboards.
