For all Gran Turismo 7 players, the 1.29 update for Gran Turismo 7 arrived February 21st at 10pm PST, or February 21 at 6am GMT if you’re in the UK. This has brought some amazing updates to the game, most notable a PS VR2 update (PS5 only), new AI settings, along with new tracks and cars.

Gran Turismo 7 PS VR2 update
First on the list of updates is the heavily anticipated PS VR2 update ready for the release of the PS VR2. According to James Stavrinides at the PlayStation Blog, all the newest features in resolution and display for the PSVR 2 will be utilised to their fullest potential.
PS VR2 players will also be able to access an exclusive ‘VR Showroom’ area from their ‘Garage’ or the in-game car dealerships.
According to the PlayStation Blog post, this will be officially launching February 22nd.
GT7 update 1.29 new racing AI
Gran Turismo Sophy is a AI racing agent developed in a collaboration between Sony AI, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital.
It’s a limited time access opportunity for players of all skill levels to take on a super smart AI racer. This will run from now until the end of March 2023.

Gran Turismo 7 update new track
Grand Valley is making a return as one of the defining classic maps of the series, only this time with a new look.
The full ‘Highway 1’ layout is a challenging course featuring full-throttle high speed sections along with tight winding technical corners.
The shorter 2000m ‘South’ layout features harsh elevation changes and blind corners to keep up pressure.

Gran Turismo 7 update new cars
We’re looking at five new cars for this update, so plenty of content to test out the garage features of the PS VR2 update with. These new cars are:
- Honda RA272 ’65
- Italdesign Exeneo Vision Gran Turismo – Street & Off-road mode
- Citroën DS 21 Pallas ’70
- Porsche 911 Carrera RS (901) ’73
As we can see, the new Italdesign Exeneo Vision takes up two of the five new car spots for its street and off-road capabilities.
