Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition releases on October 15, 2021. It will be on Game Pass the day it releases, so everyone with an active Game Pass subscription can get hands on with it.

PlayStation gamers get a similar treat if they’re subscribed to PlayStation Now, which will get Grand Theft Auto 3 – The Definitive Edition on December 7, 2021. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition (the remaster of the best one) will still have to be purchased regardless of which platform you play on.

GTA: San Andreas being free on Game Pass is definitely a wonderful opportunity for subscribers that might like to experience the changes without spending the full $59.99 launch price for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition

What is GTA: San Andreas?

GTA: San Andreas tells the story of Carl “CJ” Johnson after he returns to Grove Street in San Andreas after his mother Beverly is killed in a drive-by shooting. It’s not long before he is dragged back into the old gang and sets his sights on getting them back on top and wiping out their rivals, the Ballas that killed his mother.

At the time of the game’s original PS2 release, it was the biggest and most impressive open world action-crime game ever made. There’s still a lot of fun to be had with it even in 2021. We’d suggest that fans and newcomers alike give San Andreas a go, as it’s an all-time video game classic.
