Halo Infinite is live now for all Xbox players to give a good go. Since the Halo Infinite flights are all about multiplayer; players want to know the best Halo Infinite controller settings. While the default controller scheme is fairly good, many agree to change or two buttons.

Best Halo Infinite controller settings

The default Halo Iifninte controller scheme is this:

  • LT: Zoom
  • RT: Shoot
  • LB: Throw Grenade
  • RB: Use Equipment
  • Left Stick: Sprint
  • Right Stick: Melee
  • Y/Triangle: Switch Weapon (Hold) Switch Equipment
  • B: Crouch / Slide
  • X: Reload/Vent/ (Hold) Interact
  • A: Jump
  • D-Pad Up: Mark/Helmet Light
  • D-Pad Left: Grenade Switcher
  • D-Pad Down: AI Scan
  • D-Pad Right: Drop Weapon

However, many players are considering moving back to a control scheme that players on Halo 5 Guardians used, especially better players. The key differences are the use equipment, crouch and melee controller settings. Many consider these the best Halo Infinite controller settings:

  • LT: Zoom
  • RT: Shoot
  • LB: Throw Grenade
  • RB: Melee
  • Left Stick: Sprint
  • Right Stick: Crouch/Slide
  • Y: Switch Weapon (Hold) Switch Equipment
  • B: Use Equipment
  • X: Reload/Vent/ (Hold) Interact
  • A: Jump
  • D-Pad Up: Mark/Helmet Light
  • D-Pad Left: Grenade Switcher
  • D-Pad Down: AI Scan
  • D-Pad Right: Drop Weapon

It makes more sense to have your crouch and slide where you move your Spartan while leaving your melee and shooting settings towards the same area. However, the default controller scheme is still fairly decent.

Halo Infinite controller sensitivity

Sensitivity is entirely a preferential experience. It is generally better to have somewhat higher sensitivity because it allows your character to turn quicker, making it easier to turn corners, peak angles and trade. However, too high sensitivity may make it harder for some players to aim much more precisely.

Moreso, if you like sniping, you’ll generally want to find a slightly quicker sensitivity than a player’s movement speed at mid to closer ranges so you can track your aim over them better. We are not suggesting the best Halo Infinite controller sensitivity for these reasons because it is entirely down to your playstyle and comfort.
