With 343 dropping the Halo Infinite multiplayer on us pretty much out of the blue, there have been hundreds of thousands of fans jumping into the game as soon as possible to have the best chance of netting some solid cosmetics available in Season One of the Halo Infinite battle pass.

One particular error that PC Halo Infinite owners have been experiencing is the DirectX 12 error which simply won’t let you launch the game. While it’s common that PC games have various bugs of this ilk, it is quite frustrating to see them in a game of this magnitude. How to fix the DirectX 12 error in Halo Infinite
If you’re one of those who have seen the “Could not find compatible Graphics Device due to the following missing feature: Hardware Tiled Resources Tier 2. Please ensure you have a DirectX 12 compatible graphics adaptor and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer.” message, let’s make sure you never see it again.
One simple but effective way to fix this DirectX 12 error is to make sure you actually have DirectX 12 installed. If you want to check this, the quickest way is to type dxdiag into your Search box and press enter, open up dxdiag by clicking on that option, and check your version in the System Information section. If it isn’t showing that you’ve got DirectX 12 installed, head to the official Microsoft website to download the latest version.
Now, if you’ve got this up and running and you’re still getting the above error, there might be a bigger issue concerning your GPU. The Halo Infinite system requirements suggest that the game requires a graphics card that has at least 4GB of VRAM so if you’re running on older internal components, this could be your issue. To check if your GPU has at least 4GB of VRAM, search your graphics card specs and you should be able to find your answer. Sadly, if it turns out that you don’t have the VRAM capabilities, you may have to upgrade.
If you’re still receiving the error with DirectX 12 installed and a compatible GPU in your PC, check your GPU drivers are also up to date by going to the relevant Nvidia or AMD sites.
