Spells range from the helpful Revelio and Reparo, to combat magic like Stupefy and Expelliarmus, to even the three Unforgivable Curses: Avada Kedavra, Crucio, and Imperio.
Bare in mind, at the time of writing, just before the game’s launch, these are all of the Hogwarts Legacy spells that have appeared in pre-launch. This means there are at least 21 spells for players to learn and use. But, there’s certainly a chance more will be released later.

- Accio – Summoning charm
- Avada Kedavra – “The Killing Curse” (Unforgivable)
- Bombarda – Explosive blast
- Confringo – Fireball spell
- Crucio – Torture curse (Unforgivable)
- Depulso – Repels items
- Descendo – Forces items or enemies to the ground
- Diffindo – Cutting spell
- Expelliarmus – Disarm spell
- Glacius – Freezing spells
- Imperio – Manipulation curse (Unforgivable)
- Incendio – Sets things on fire
- Wingardium Leviosa – Levitation
- Lumos – Light
- Oppugno – Manipulates items toward the target
- Petrificus Totalus – Binding curse
- Protego – Protection spell
- Reducto – Destroys objects
- Reparo – Repairs objects

How to use spells in Hogwarts Legacy
Spells work much like weapons, spells and items in most action-RPGs. The spells are divided into two categories. These are: Slottable and Essential.
Slottable spells can be assigned to the Spell Diamond, there they can be used by pressing the assigned buttons. Moreover, there are 4 separate Diamonds and you can cycle through them so you get quick access to 16 spells.
After every use, there will be a cooldown period for them to charge up, and the period will increase based on their strength.
The Essential ones are frequently used so they are assigned to buttons with easy access like the D-Pad.
