Signal Spike is a side quest in Horizon Forbidden West that is available during the early stages of the game in Camp Nowhere. Talking to Minda and completing the quest will reward players with a massive 5,330 XP, two skill points, and the Spinthorn Spike Thrower weapon. There are no prerequisites to get the mission and it has multiple starting points. If you are stuck on the mission, here is a quick guide to help you out.

How to Complete Signal Spike in Horizon Forbidden West

To start Signal Spike you can go to Camp Nowhere and talk to Minda. Alternatively, you can head to the hill which is located on the west side of Camp Nowhere by rescuing the woman who calls out for help. Doing either of these things will trigger the side quest, after which you will be tasked to find the Oseram Runaway.

There is a woman who is running from the camp and her chances of survival are low. It is up to Aloy to help out. Kill the machines that get in your path and talk to the Oseram NPC. It looks like the runaway has a radio receiver and wants to decode a message. She is unable to get the full message relayed to the radio because of weak signal strength.

Aloy needs to climb up the spike and check the signal herself. Follow the wires to know where you need to head to. If you are unable to figure out the pathing, use your Focus to guide the way. You will then need to triangulate the signal to get the best signal possible.

Head to the Scalding Spear, the mountain above the base, and the Canyon to complete the quest. Once you find the source of the signal, you can loot the crate and craft a weapon using the supplies located in it. After crafting the weapon and talking to Silga, the quest ends automatically.
