The Second Verse is an optional side quest in Horizon Forbidden West that offers 8,330 XP, three skill points, the Utaru Birthsinger Facepaint, and the Healed the Land-gods trophy. It is an extensive side quest that has a recommended level of 25. To get access to the quest, you need to complete the Main Quest mission Cradle of Echoes after which you will automatically get access to The Second Verse.

How to Complete The Second Verse in Horizon Forbidden West

Depending on where you are in the story, you can either start The Second Verse by talking to Zo during the campaign or you can head to the Plainsong and meet her. The NPC will request you to retrieve a reboot code to fix the land gods in Plainsong. Head to the Grimhorn site to start the quest.

Talk to Zo after collecting the Grimhorn parts and wait for the Reboot Code to do its thing. Once the reboot code is generated by Zo, you have to install it at 3 Landgods nearby while Zo will handle the remaining ones in Plainsong.

Go to the shrine at Cinnabar Sands and search for the Land God. You will have to deal with a Stormbird first before rebooting the Land God. Once done, head to the Shrine at the Lake and reboot Land-god So after clearing some debris.

Finally, you have to head to the Shrine at the Canyon and search for the unknown Land God. There is a metal flower you need to destroy after clearing some fines. Once you make your way to the Landgod, install the Reboot code to trigger the next part of the quest.

Return to Zo at Plainsong and there will be a short cutscene to trigger the end of the quest. Upon completion, you will get the “Healed the Landgods” trophy as well as the mission rewards.
