Borderlands 3 is the third installment in the main series of the Borderlands franchise. It has a lot of content especially after over 2 years of patches and additional content including 6 big DLCs from two season passes.

Borderlands 3 is a game that can be played endlessly with a lot of endgame activities, many characters, and builds to try out so its playtime could be infinite. However, its main campaign will take you around 24 hours.

If you are aiming to complete the game with all side quests and bonus activities then it can take up to 50 hours, almost twice as long as the base campaign. For completionists like me the playtime can be extended to 70-80 hours to find every collectible and every destroyed Claptrap or Eridian Writing.

The first DLC called Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot takes around 6 hours to complete. Guns, Love, and Tentacles which is the second DLC will last for 5 hours of main quests. The third DLC which is the best in my opinion called Bounty of Blood takes around 5 hours to complete. The final story DLC by the name Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck will last for 4 hours.

The two remaining DLCs being Arms Race and Ava’s podcast story are a bit different. Ava’s crime story is a set of missions that can last for about 2 hours, and Arms Race is a new mode that can be easily described as a single-player battle royale so it can be played over and over again.

Overall the game is pretty long for today’s standards and is definitely worth picking up with all its DLCs for at least 100 hours of fun in the universe, especially if you like looter-shooters.
