How to complete the lake symbol puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake

There are plenty of puzzles for you to complete as you progress through the Resident Evil 4 Remake with many of them being a bit tricky to solve. Once you have reached the lake, you will need to track down symbols and enter them into podiums to unlock the gates. If you manage to complete these puzzles, you will be able to progress through the story and rescue Ashley. Of course, it all depends on if you get the right symbols. Here is how you complete the lake symbol puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

How to complete the cave shrine puzzles in Resident Evil 4 Remake

You have progressed through chapter 3 and fought off the lake monster. After finding yourself on the opposite shore of the lake, you will need to find two statue heads. These statue heads are locked behind shrine puzzles around the lake that you must complete to progress forward in the game.

Start by taking the boat across the lake to the small cave on the far end. Here, you will find a small building. The podium is resting in front of a locked wooden door. To get the correct symbols for the door, you must look around the building. The symbols are in the following locations:

• On the wall at the base of the ladder.
• On the wall at the top of the ladder. This symbol must be lined up with the one on the cave wall.
• On the wall with the window. This symbol must be lined up with the one on the cave wall outside the window.

Once you have seen all of the symbols, make your way back to the shrine and press them in. This will open the door. After grabbing the head off the statue, make your way to the second shrine on the other side of the lake where you found the boat.

Once you reach the cave, fend off the enemies and make your way down across the ground running next to the water. The pedestal is at the top of the ladder at the end. The symbols for pedestal are found in the following locations:

• On the cave wall next to the ladder.
• On the stalagmites across from the pedestal.
• On the cave well next to the wooden bridge.

After spotting all the symbols, head back to the pedestal and press them in to unlock the door. With both of the shrine puzzles complete, you can place the heads on the hands and progress through the chapter. While you are here, make sure to grab the Red9 and add it to your collection of handguns.
