Increasing Link’s health and stamina is crucial to becoming strong enough to defeat Ganondorf in Nintendo’s latest release in the franchise, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Similar to Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom has plenty of shrines throughout Hyrule to complete to receive the Light of Blessing, which can be traded for heart containers or stamina vessels. If you’re getting stuck in the Marakuguc Shrine, we’re here to show you how to complete it with this walkthrough.

How to beat the Marakuguc Shrine in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

When you enter the shrine, there will be a broken bridge over a large gap. Using the Ultrahand ability, grab the end of the bridge and attach it to the other side, so you can cross the gap. Move forward and you’ll find another gap, this one larger with lava filling it, and another broken bridge. There will be a slab with two wheels on either side to the right. Using Ultrahand again, attach the slab to the end of the bridge and hit it to turn it on and cross the lava gap to safely cross it.

There will be one more gap, this one significantly bigger. Two slab cars will be provided to your right. Attach those two together so it makes a four-wheel slab, which will let you cross the lava gap. Be careful, there will be a slight speed bump in the middle, so try to stay in the middle of the slab car.

The final room will be upwards, so use the Ascend ability to travel up to the platform. Inside is a Zonai Construct you’ll have to fight first. In the room will be a pit filled with metal balls, and then a large button on the floor past the bars dividing the room with short openings on the bottom. Use the two-wheeled slab provided and attach the ladder-like structure to the front like a plow. Simply hit it to send it forward, and it will push the metal balls onto the button, opening the final gate to claim the Light of Blessing.

The treasure chest in this shrine is located on a platform in the final room with the plow, past the Zonai Construct on the right corner. You can attach the plow like a ladder to the front of the slab car, and climb up the ladder to retrieve the chest. Inside it will be a Strong Construct Bow.
