Drive Rush is a new mechanic that Capcom has brought to Street Fighter 6. You can use it in a duel to change the tide of battle and throw off your opponent. Like most fighting games, Street Fighter is a series so it’s good to see things are changing.

Street Fighter 6 is a very anticipated game that releases in June and it will introduce brand new mechanics to the series not seen in the classic titles. Drive Rush is just one of the new features you will expect to see used a lot. This guide will show you how to use Drive Rush in Street Fighter 6.

What is Drive Rush in Street Fighter 6?

What is interesting about Drive Rush is that it gives you multiple opportunities to switch things up during a fight. The Drive Rush system allows you to perform special moves that can throw off your opponent. The following moves can be used:

  • Drive Parry
  • Drive Reversal
  • Drive Impact
  • Overdrive Art

The Drive Parry allows you to deflect incoming attacks while other moves allow you to throw more devastating punches and perform a quick rush toward your opponent in the form of a dash. The reversal will allow you to cancel out an opponent’s incoming attack.

Your ability to use these abilities is based on a special meter called the Drive Gauge. The Drive Gauge Bar appears beneath your health bar and controls how many times you can perform Drive Rush actions. If you use too many, the meter will run out and you will enter a burnout state.

During this burnout state, your character will be stunned and the drive bar will refill. During this time, you will need to wait until you can regain control of your character. You can activate the different Drive Rush abilities by hitting a special move button on the PlayStation, PC, and Xbox.

Is there a training mode for Drive Rush in Street Fighter 6?

Yes, Street Fighter 6 has a training mode that you can use to learn the Drive Rush system. The tutorials section of the game will teach you intermediate and advanced lessons for each of the 16 characters in the game. These tutorials can be accessed through the battle hub.

No matter if you are playing as Ken, Cammy, Luke, Chun-li, your own character, or any of the other characters, you will have access to the Drive Rush system. Make sure to brush up on your training before entering world tour mode.
