The map is one of the most useful items in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. With it, you can see where you are at and look at the topography of the land around you. Hyrule is a very large place so, understandably, the map is quite large.

Unlike Breath of the Wild, in Tears of the Kingdom, you have a lot of land to cover. This includes sky islands and the massive underground dungeon. This guide will show you how to expand the map in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to reveal the map in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

If you want to expand the map and get a better look at the land, you will need to reveal the different map sections. There are 15 map sections for you to reveal with each section having a Skyview Tower.

At the start of the game, you will be on the Great Sky Island. This area will automatically be included in your sky map. As you follow the main quest, you will unlock the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower. This is the game’s way of teaching you how to reveal the map sections.

When you activate a new Skyview Tower, Link will use his Purah Pad to record the data. This will reveal the sky map, surface map, and depths map for the area you activated the tower in. There are plenty of new locations in Tears of the Kingdom so make sure you interact with all of the towers.
