Cinders in Diablo 4 are something that can not be acquired early on in the game. This is because they are part of the endgame content. In this guide, we will explain how to farm Cinders in Diablo 4 so you can get your hands on some unique loot.

How to get Cinders in Diablo 4

To get Cinders in Diablo 4, you will need to kill monsters during Helltide events. For this, you will need to make significant progress and reach the endgame. From this point onward, you will be able to take part in Helltdies. For those who don’t know, these are endgame events where you’ll encounter some of the most powerful enemies in the game.

Helltides can appear anywhere in the Sanctuary, and they have a one-hour time limit. Therefore, you don’t get much time to casually wander around during them.

It is important to remember that the enemies you encounter during Helltides are tougher than the regular enemies you’ve been facing during the previous stages of the game. Therefore, make sure you are well equipped, as you won’t be able to survive in them otherwise.

There are only two ways to get Cinders; by killing enemies and participating in World Events during Helltides. The World Events will assign you different tasks, and you must complete them to acquire Cinders. But if you want to farm Cinders in Diablo 4, you must focus on killing enemies. This will not only help you with getting the currency but will also allow you to acquire legendaries.

Where to spend Cinders in Diablo 4

After you’ve acquired plenty of Cinders, you can use them to open Helltide Caches or Helltide Chests, which are found in the event area and reward players with unique items. However, the items you will get will be for a specific item slot. Furthermore, the cost of each cache will depend on the item slot. For instance, a weapon cache will cost more than a cache that offers pants.

Remember that if you die during the Helltide event, half of your Cinders will be lost. Furthermore, if you leave the Helltide zone, your Cinders will disappear. Therefore, you must ensure you spend your Cinders as soon as you’ve gotten enough of them. Furthermore, keep an eye out on the timer, as your efforts will go in vain if the event is over.

Every time you die in Diablo 4, sadly you will lose half of the cinders you’ve acquired prior to your death.

Whilst this is sad news, it only being 50% means you don’t lose ALL of your cinders.
