What you need before you find the Wetsuit
Before we start, you’ll need a couple of different items before it’s possible to reach the Wetsuit. That’s because they are required for traversing the caves to get to the Wetsuit in question.
- Rebreather – For diving deep underwater.
- Rope Gun – Used for ziplines.
How to find the Wetsuit
Now it’s time to cut out the small talk and get straight to where to find a Wetsuit in Sons Of The Forest. Here’s our quick and easy step-by-step guide:
- Locate a cave entrance in the central/western part of the map (see image below).
- Search for the entrance and enter the cave, you can use a spear to break any barricade.
- Light a torch or equip your flashlight and continue moving forward.
- Straight ahead you’ll find a zipline, which can be interacted with if you have the Rope Gun.
- Here you’ll find water – perform a underwater dive using the Rebreather.
- Continue along this linear dive and navigate through the tight spaces until you can re-emerge.
- Move up a sloped area and you’ll come across the Wetsuit, an air tank, and 9mm ammo immediately on your right.
Once you have the Wetsuit, you can continue further on in the cave and navigate it more easily through the sunken areas. With the opportunity to find a flashlight attachment nearby, you won’t have to be too scared of the dark anymore.
Why a Wetsuit is useful in Sons Of The Forest
Even though we’re early on in the discovery of Sons Of The Forest, is shouldn’t be too hard to see why the Wetsuit is a massively useful item to obtain, especially early on. The Rebreather provides you with the power to stay underwater for extended periods of time, which allows you to conduct a more thorough search of areas. Combined with the Wetsuit, this means you can do a ton of searching around and looting that you couldn’t previously do. Just watch out for mutants if you wish to explore any caves.
