This article will show you how to find the Transmog System in Hogwarts Legacy, as well as how to use it too. The transmog mechanic is great for those players who like to customise appearances to the fullest in action RPGs.

To make use of transmogs in Hogwarts Legacy, go to your Gear tab. Then, have your cursor hover over any item that you have equipped. You’ll then need to press the corresponding button to change its appearance (F key for PCs, X button for Xbox consoles, and the square button for PlayStation systems).

What is the Transmog System?

When you transmog, you change the appearance of an item. You therefore switch up the appearance, but keep the stats, trait slots, and bonuses the same.

For example, you may like the look of a low-level cloak, and if you’re hesitant to equip it as the lower stats might reduce your combat effectiveness, don’t worry. This is because transmog means you can equip a cloak with much better stats but have it take on the appearance of the low-level cloak.

Hogwarts Legacy Main Characters List

Every item you’ve collected or unlocked so far in Hogwarts Legacy appears as a transmog option. This includes gear rewarded for completing quests and challenges or found out and about in the world, usually in chests dotted around Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and even further afoot.

Conveniently, even items you sell or destroy appear as permanent options in the transmog system, which means there’s no need to hold on to any gear you might like the look of but has weak stats.

You can sell items to keep your inventory tidy without worrying about losing out or hoarding every bit of gear you come across. The system ensures players can pick and choose their transmog appearance from a vast range of handwear, facewear, headwear, neckwear, cloaks and robes, and outfits to make their character look exactly the way they want.
