Traversing through the Great Sky Island in the latest Legend of Zelda sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, can be a breeze if you have the correct weapons, devices, or flying machine.

Now with new open-world exploration and destinations, Link’s new abilities, like Fuse and Ultrahand abilities, can shine as you combat your way through TotK. So, follow this guide as we explain how you can fly or glide in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How do you fly in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

An epic adventure of wandering across the Hyrule Kingdom can be easy when you have mounts; however, what do you use when you’re in the Sky Islands? Well, that’s easy; you can fly or glide! So, you can either get a Paraglider or the Glide Shirt. So, now you will have two forms of adventuring the Great Sky Islands!

You will get the Paraglider during the Crisis at the Hyrule Castle quest. This is the third story in the main quest of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To get the Paraglider, speak to Purah at the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower to activate the quest.

After a few cutscenes, Purah will gladly hand over the Paraglider to you! After you’ve helped out Purah, some gameplay mechanics will show you how to work the Paraglider. Then, once in the air, you must Press X to activate Glide on your Nintendo.

Now onto the Gliding Shirt. You must go to Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower to get this item. Once in the air, use your Paraglider to sail over to Courage Island. Thankfully, you won’t need to partake in any puzzle-solving activities.

To get the Glide Shirt, you must participate in the Dive Ceremony that the Steward Contruct will give you. However, the only catch is to ensure you complete this side quest in less than 35 seconds! Once you’ve completed this side quest, the Gilde Shirt is yours to take!
