How to get ancient items in Diablo 4
Diablo 4 has plenty of items to offer, all of which are divided into different tiers. The higher the tier, the more valuable the item is. Many players wonder about how to get ancient items in Diablo 4. If you’re one of them, continue reading below as we’re going to explain everything about them.
Can I get ancient items in Diablo 4?
Unfortunately, Diablo 4 does not feature ancient items. In other words, there is no way to get them in the game. While this will leave many players disappointed, Blizzard already confirmed in 2019 that they are not planning to add them to Diablo 4.
In the post shared by Blizzard, the developers claimed that they are going to remove Ancient Legendaries from the game and are instead going to focus on increasing the usefulness of Rare items. Furthermore, they also shared plans to increase the complexity of players’ choices in the endgame regarding gear.
At the moment, there are five different item tiers in Diablo 4. These include Normal, Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique. The Normal is the lowest tier, and most items you’ll get at the beginning of the game will belong to it. On the other hand, Legendary and Unique items are the most valuable items, which you’ll acquire after making significant progress in the game.
It is worth noting that Unique items have returned to Diablo 4 for the first time after Diablo 2. They weren’t present in the previous games of the series. Unique items are special because they come with different added effects that can further improve your character’s class. They do, kind of, make up for the lack of ancient items in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 launches on June 6 on all platforms, but if you preordered the Ultimate or Deluxe edition of the game, you can start playing it on June 2 as a part of the early access bonus. Furthermore, there are plenty of other bonuses attached to preorders. Starting May 30, you can also preload Diablo 4 so you can jump into it as soon as it gets released.
Are there Ancient items in Diablo 4?
No, there are not, these have been removed from the game, instead focusing on the lower-tier items and improving them to make them a more viable option to use in the end game.
Are Diablo 4 item tiers like Diablo 2?
Without Ancient items, the Diablo 4 tiers are closer to Diablo 2 that have normal, exceptional, and elite tiers of items.
