To no one’s surprise, customization is a big part of Hogwarts Legacy. Aside from the character creation menu, the game also enables you to alter your character’s appearance by wearing cosmetic sets.
One such set is the House Robe which all the students in your House wear as a symbol of unity.
So if you have yet to get your hands on your House’s uniform, then you’ve come to the right place!

As such, only when you have been sorted into a particular House can you access the House’s common rooms and reach the chest inside. However, in order to unlock the chest itself, you will have to complete a quest from Nellie Oggspire in the Transfiguration courtyard, located near the Astronomy wing.
She will prompt you to find 16 Daedalian keys flying about in the castle and leave you with some hints as to the whereabouts of these keys.
These keys are important since they can be used to unlock locked cabinets around the castle (each key will guide you to its respective cabinet).
These cabinets, in turn, contain the House Tokens you will need to unlock your House Chest.
Where to find the Daedalian Keys in Hogwarts Legacy
With there being 16 different keys spread across the castle, it may become difficult for players to navigate to the location of all the keys.
As such, here is the location of each of the Daedalian keys in Hogwarts Legacy:
Daedalian Key | Location |
Key 1 | Next to the Astronomy Tower in the Astronomy wing |
Key 2 | Near the Great Hall fast travel point in the Great Hall |
Key 3 | At the end of the Hallway leading left from the Great Hall |
Key 4 | At the top of the stairs in the Great Hall |
Key 5 | Near Pendulum in the Clock Tower Courtyard(need to have access to lock picking) |
Key 6 | In Potions Classroom in the Library Annex |
Key 7 | Near the Faculty Tower in the South wing |
Key 8 | Under the stairs in the Central Hall in the Library Annex |
Key 9 | Behind pillars at the bottom of the Central Hall in the Library Annex |
Key 10 | In front of the Rhinosaurus skeleton near the Defense against the Dark Arts classroom in the Astronomy wing |
Key 11 | In the Bell Tower courtyard in the Bell Tower Wing |
Key 12 | Near the Lower Grand Staircase in the Grant Staircase |
Key 13 | Near sleeping dragon in the Bell Tower courtyard in the Bell Tower wing |
Key 14 | Down the hallway from the sleeping dragon in the Bell Tower courtyard in the Bell Tower Wing |
Key 15 | Behind bookshelves in the Library in Library Annex |
Key 16 | Main hallway from the gears in the Hospital Wing in the South Wing |
Once you have found all the keys and unlocked all the cabinets to get your House Tokens, just head on over to your House Chest and place all the House Tokens in the chest to unlock it. After that, give yourself a pat on the back as you put on the House Robe!
Is it worth getting the house robes in Hogwarts Legacy?
These house robes, also known as the relic house uniforms, definitely add a touch of style to your gear if you want to represent your Hogwarts House in spectacular fashion. Although they are purely cosmetic, that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth getting. If you’ve got yourself geared up to a point where your stats are formidable, it’s perhaps time to start collecting some cosmetics.
So, we’d say that your respective house robe is well worth getting. Hopefully you enjoy the design for your house of choice. If not, there are four character slots to give you the chance to collect every house’s robe.
Hogwarts Legacy house robes : Final word
As is the case with standard open-world RPGs, Hogwarts Legacy is no stranger to providing players with different opportunities to customize their characters, such as through cosmetic items.
However, these items (such as the House Robe) don’t come for free, and players are expected to put in a bit of effort to obtain them.
