There are plenty of armor sets for you to find throughout The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While some of these armor sets will help you survive the elements, some are meant to help you traverse enemy encampments.
When you want to avoid detection from the Moblins and Bokoblins of the world, you will want to get your hands on a monster mask. There is only one NPC you can turn to; Koltin. This guide will show you how to get the Lizalfos Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Where to find the Lizalfos Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
If you want to get Kilton’s Handmade Lizalfos Headgear, you will want to visit Tarrey Town. Tarrey Town is in the middle of a body of water in the Akkala region of Hyrule. Head to the northeast of Central Hyrule to find Tarrey Town.
If you have talked to Kilton and Koltin by the cave earlier in the game and completed their side quest, you will be able to find Kilton in Tarrey Town. Talk to him at night and he will point you to where Koltin can be found on in the map.
Koltin is a special shop owner that travels Hyrule and sells monster parts and masks. Talk to Koltin and he will sell you the Lizalfos Mask but only after you have purchased his previous masks like the Bokoblin Mask and the Moblin Mask.
The Lizalfos Mask will cost you three Bubbul Gems to obtain. You can get these gems by killing Bubbulfrogs in caves. The Lizalfos Mask is the fifth item that Koltin will sell after some Hinox Toenails and Fire Keese Eyeballs. You will need a total of 13 Bubbul Gems to obtain all of his previous items as well as the Lizalfos Mask.
Here is a breakdown of the steps required to get the mask:
- Unlock Koltin and Kilton
- Talk to Kilton in Tarrey Town
- Locate Koltin on the map
- Speak to Koltin and purchase all previous items
- Purchase the Lizalfos Mask for three Bubbul Gems
What bonuses does the Lizalfos Mask have in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
The Lizalfos Mask is designed to “replicate the goggling eyes” and the unique tongue of the Lizalfos. This means that it will help you blend in with the enemies just like the other monster masks. Keep in mind, this only works on Lizalfos. Other enemies like Lynels will only be fooled by their own masks.
This means that if you want to track a Lynel, you will need to get the Lynel Mask. There are plenty of other armor pieces in the game for you to find. Collect more of them to better your chances of rescuing Hyrule.
