Clothing plays a big role in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Each armor piece that you collect will help you survive the wilds of Hyrule and protect yourself from the beasts that roam the lands. Every piece of clothing in the game will offer you some sort of bonus.
When you want to protect yourself from the strongest beasts in the game, the Lynel Mask will help. Luckily, getting the mask doesn’t require you to search the depths. You just need to visit a shop owner. This guide will show you how to get the Lynel Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Where to find the Lynel Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
If you want to get the Lynel Mask, you will first need to unlock Koltin’s shop. This is done by finding Kilton and Koltin near the cave by Pico Pond. Once you have completed their side quest called The Hunt for Bubbul Gems, Kilton will appear at Tarrey Town.
Tarrey Town is located in the Akkala region of the map and is north of Zora’s Domain. Once you reach the area, talk to Kilton and he will tell you where Koltin is on the map. Koltin will sell you more masks and monster parts in exchange for Bubbul Gems.
Go to Koltin and purchase his wares. He will sell the following items before the Lynel Mask:
- Bokoblin Mask
- Moblin Mask
- Hinox Toenails
- Mystic Robe
- Fire Keese Eyeballs
- Lizalfos Mask
- Ice-Breath Lizalfos Tail
- Mystic Trousers
- White-Maned Lynel Mace Horn
- Horriblin Mask
- Gleeok Wings
After purchasing all of those items from Koltin, you will be able to purchase the Lynel Mask for four Bubbul Gems. In total, you will need to spend 36 Bubbul Gems to get all of the items including the Lynel Mask.
To simplify things, here are the steps required to get the mask:
- Unlock Kilton and Koltin near Pico Pond
- Find Tarrey Town
- Talk to Kilton in Tarrey Town
- Track down Koltin
- Purchase all items including the Lynel Mask from Koltin
What bonuses does the Lynel Mask have in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
The Handmade Lynel Headgear is meant to deceive real Lynel. This means that you can wear it around them if you want to blend in. Monsters of the same type as the mask you are wearing will ignore you as long as you don’t hit them with a melee attack or pull out your bow.
Other masks from Kilton can help you blend in with the rest of the creatures living in Hyrule. Just make sure you are wearing the correct mask when you enter an enemy camp. Be sure to collect the rest of the armor in the game to help you survive the wilds.
