If you want to get the Opal Earrings in Tears of the Kingdom, you will first need to reach Gerudo Town. This is the town in the Gerudo Desert in the southwestern part of the map. We recommend you wear Sand Boots when crossing the desert since it makes traversing the sand easier.
When you reach Gerudo Town, go inside the throne room and open the secret entrance to the Herudo Shelter using Ultrahand. Once inside, you will find Cara. She will be selling the Ruby Circlet, Sapphire Circlet, and Amber Earrings when you first meet her.
Continue the story and complete the main quests needed to clear the sandstorm that is surrounding Gerudo Town. After the sandstorm is cleared, the shops in town will open up. Cara’s shop will sell more gear at this point. You will now be able to purchase the Opal Earrings for 700 Rupees.

Like other helmets, masks, and armor pieces in the game, the Opal Earrings have a special property that will help you survive. While wearing the earrings, you will have an increased swimming speed. While it isn’t as good as the Zora Armor which lets you swim up waterfalls, you will see a significant increase in your swim speed.
The base defense stat of the Opal Earrings is three but this can be upgraded to 20. Doing this requires multiple gemstones and for you to unlock the owner of the shop by completing a side quest.
