Sigil Powder is one of the most important substances you will need in Diablo 4. Once you have completed the Main Questline and are ready to show off your power and zeal in Dungeons, Sigil Powder will become a must for the endgame.

But, of course, that will only be once you have finished off the various World Bosses. So, though you may think you will not need this item immediately, you should stock up on them to partake in Nightmare Dungeons and get those sweet high-tier rewards.

So, without further ado, follow this guide on getting Sigil Powder in Diablo 4. We’ll show you where to find it and how to use it.

How do you farm Sigil Powder in Diablo 4?

To get the rare crafting material Sigil Powder, you must go to the Occultist Demyan. He can be found in the Fractured Peaks within Kyovashad. Also, you can find him near The Alchemist Veroka, in the Desolate Highlands. Once at the Occultist, interact with Demyan to access the crafting box on the left side of your screen. Five tabs will be available to craft, extract, or imprint. For example, to make Sigil Powder, you must use the fourth tab that says Salvage Sigil.

Like the Blacksmith, you can craft Sigil Powder by salvaging your items. To do this, you will need Sacred and Ancestral items to salvage. These special items are hard to come by, so make sure not to salvage any of the unique items that you want to keep, or else you’ll be in peril. Use your cache of these items to salvage. After you have successfully prepared your sigils, you can craft the sacred Nightmare Sigils from the consumables tab of your inventory. You can also pick up Sigil Powder straight from Nightmare Dungeons, so if you don’t want to salvage, this is another route.

The final way to get Sigil Powder is through unwanted Nightmare Sigils, which you can salvage. However, if you’re Nightmare Sigil crafting, we don’t recommend turning it back to the Nightmare Powder.

How to use Sigil Powder in Diablo 4

You can use this enigmatic Powder to craft Nightmare Sigils of any tier. The basics of Nightmare Sigils is that they allow you to turn a normal dungeon into a Nightmare Dungeon. Nightmare Dungeons are one of the stars of the endgame show, and allow you more Silent Chests, harder combat, and an overall more rewarding gameplay experience.

Each time you increase the Dungeon tier of a regular dungeon, you will increase the ferocity of the hell-servants and Elites. As a result, you will earn higher-rarity loot and the absolute best gear. You can also craft and upgrade your equipment with this Powder at the Blacksmith. However, you can only participate in this when you complete the game’s main campaign and unlock the Capstone Dungeon. Even then, you must access the World Tier statute to change tiers. There are four tiers: Adventurer, Veteran, Nightmare, and Torment.

Better loot means getting stronger for all sorts of endgame activities, from the Tree of Whispers to the nightmare field of Helltides. Greater challenges await in the robust endgame of Diablo 4, and Nightmare Difficulty is just the beginning.
