How to get the Blue Potato in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unless you have been living under one of the many rocks sprinkled around the valley, you have probably heard of the great Disney Dreamlight Valley potato mystery. It started with the Golden Potato which led to the discovery of many more potatoes around the valley. The Pride of the Vlaley update added a Blue Potato to the mix. Once obtained, you will need to collect various ingredients to turn it into a potion. Here is how you can get the Blue Potato in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where to find the Blue Potato

The great potato mystery in Disney Dreamlight Valley started with the Golden Potato that was received by a code found in a Halloween image for the game. With the Golden Potato being a mystery, many left it alone until the Festival of Friendship update. During this time, players started finding the Red Potato and learned there is an entire quest line devoted to the Golden Potato. This quest line now continues with the Blue Potato.

Luckily, the Blue Potato is very easy to find. Like the Red Potato, you can get it by simply walking into a resident’s home and searching the area. The resident in question is Ursula. Instead of running into the jungle to find Simba and Nala, make your way to Ursula’s home. Once inside, you can easily spot the Blue Potato next to the throne by the water.

When you pick up the Blue Potato, the item name will be ??? but quickly change to its proper name once it is in your inventory.

How to make the Blue Potato Potion

Once you have the Blue Potato, you can get to work on crafting a potion with it. First, you need to gather a few ingredients. These ingredients are:

• Blue Shell
• Blue Starfish
• Blue Book
• Blue Gem

Blue Shell location

The Blue Shell is the first ingredient of the potion and is found by going to Moana’s Realm. Once there, go to the edge of the beach on the right side. Run into the water and you will find a bunch of invisible boundaries. Make your way around the rocks to the far side of the island off the coast of the main island. You will see the Blue Shell come into view once you get behind the island.

Blue Starfish location

For the Blue Starfish, you need to head to the smaller realm where you found Ariel earlier in the game. Use the boat off Skull Rock to get back there. Once there, walk into the water off the tip of the beach. Similar to the Blue Shell, the water walking portion will be a bit of a maze but follow the path to the other side of the small rocks. You will find the Blue Starfish laying on the ground.

Blue Book location

The next ingredient is the Blue Book. For this item, you need to make your way to the mysterious cave on Dazzle Back. Go inside and go all the way to the bottom. You will be able to see the Blue Book from the edge of the water. Run through the water again, following the invisible walls to reach the Blue Book.

Blue Gem location

The final ingredient is the Blue Gem. To obtain it, head to the mines in the Sunlit Plateau. Once there, you need to find the area where the mine track is broken. To get there, go to the left once you enter the mines. Afterward, go to the right and follow the mines to the room where the minecart tracks converge. From there, continue deeper into the mines and take the first right. When you reach this area, walk across the Night Thorn to reach the Blue Gem.

Crafting the potion

Once you have all of the items, go to the mines and locate the pool of water beneath the blue crystals. That’s right, you won’t be going to a crafting station. The water is near where you picked up the Blue Gem. Place all of the blue items into the water. After placing all the items in the water, it will give you a Brilliant Blue Potion to add to your collection.
