Where to find the Broken Butterfly in Resident Evil 4 Remake
You won’t be able to get your hands on the Broken Butterfly right away but it is easy to obtain. Unlike weapons like the Handcannon, you don’t need to meet any prerequisites to get your hands on the Broken Butterfly. All you need to do is progress through the game to chapter 6. This should take you only a few hours if you are progressing quickly through the game.
Pretty late in the chapter, you will be able to find the merchant and purchase the Broken Butterfly from him for around 38,000 Pesetas. Leading up to the chapter, make sure you are consistently selling treasures that you find so you have the money to purchase the weapon. When you buy the Broken Butterfly, it will come with the following stats:

- 0.52 Reload Speed
- 0.90 Rate of Fire

These stats are very good for a weapon of this caliber. The Broken Butterfly also comes with the penetration power bonus. This allows bullets fired from the weapon to travel through enemies, allowing you to kill multiple foes at once if they are lined up. When you purchase the weapon, you will need 6 slots in your inventory to hold it. Make sure to purchase the weapon during chapter 6 to get your hands on the magnum ammo recipe for free – a nice bonus for those who want to save some money in the game.
