How To Lean MW2- What You Need To Know

How To Lean MW2

Leaning in first-person shooters is a time-tested mechanic and one that is extremely important. It allows players to see exactly what is coming while not completely abandoning their cover, meaning they minimize any potential damage to themselves.

In order to do this in Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 you need to click down on the right thumbstick, which you might also know as your melee button if you’re using a controller. If you’re using a mouse and keyboard, then you’ll press whatever button you have assigned to the melee action.

It’s much better to use leaning to scout out the area and figure out precisely what you’re facing rather than simply running in blind and potentially completely getting decimated by your opponent.

Recently, gamers have discovered a bug that allows ADS kills with a laser to count as mounted kills, check out the details here.

Is there a lean button in MW2?

Officially, there is no lean button available in MW2 and Warzone 2. However, players can still lean around corners by utilizing the mounting feature. It is worth noting that players may also appear to be leaning when using a Canted Laser attachment, which requires the user to hold the weapon slightly to its side.

Why Should I lean?

You might not realize it, but there are a few situations in which leaning can be combined with other mechanics to your advantage. For example, during stealth gameplay (such as in the campaign or Spec Ops modes), being able to see what’s coming without revealing yourself fully is immeasurably helpful.

Combine leaning with mounting your weapon on walls and cover, and you can become pretty confident about what’s hiding around ever corner. Not only that, but you can probably get the drop on players even in multiplayer situations if you master the technique.

Just be careful. Leaning isn’t guaranteed to go unnoticed, especially against human players. If you’ve got a sniper on your tail, leaning is safer, but not literally bulletproof when going around a corner.
