As you progress through The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will face new challenges and deadly enemies. While you won’t be extremely powerful at the beginning of the game, you can level up to get stronger. In this guide, we will explain how to level up fast in Tears of the Kingdom.

How do I level up quickly in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

To level up in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom you need to complete shrines. When you complete shrines, you increase the number of hearts Link has. There are plenty of them for you to complete, like the Mogawak shrine and Jiosin shrine. Completing each shrine will reward you with one Light of Blessing.

Once you’ve acquired a total of four Lights of Blessings, you need to take them to the Goddess Statue and interact with it. The statue will then give you the option to exchange the Four Lights of Blessings for a Heart Container. The Heart Container will increase your number of hearts by one, and you will need to collect four again to reach the next level.

Another method of acquiring Heart Containers is defeating bosses, which you will encounter as you progress through the game or complete dungeons. This method might not be suitable at the beginning of the game as bosses are not easy to defeat. However, as your character gets stronger and you start acquiring powerful weapons and shields while progressing through primary and side quests, it will get easier.

To increase stamina, you need to follow the same procedure as above: collecting four Lights of Blessings and taking them to the Goddess Statue. However, at the Goddess Statue, you will need to choose the Stamina Vessel this time. This will upgrade the stamina wheel by 1/5th the size of the complete wheel. Also, it is important to remember that you can swap Hearts for Stamina by visiting the Horned Statue in the Royal Hidden Passage. This can be helpful for times when you end up investing in the wrong attribute.

For those wondering, there are over 100 shrines in the open world of the game. Therefore, it will take a lot of time before you can reach the max level. To level up fast in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, we recommend using Skyview Towers, as they can shoot you up into the sky, which will help you find shrines quickly. However, ensure you get the Glide Shirt or the Glider first, as there is no point in being in the sky without it.

This will also make the adventure of exploring sky islands easier.

Furthermore, make sure to acquire abilities such as Fuse and Ascend, as they will make exploring and fighting with monsters easier. The Fuse ability can help combine weapons and shields, just like monster parts. On the other hand, Ascend helps you float in the air as long as there are ceilings above you. There is also the Ultrahand ability that allows you to attach objects to form structures.

To level up, instead of gaining XP, you will need to increase your health and stamina. Your health is denoted by heart icons, while stamina is represented by a green wheel. When you first start the game, your character only has three hearts and one full stamina wheel. But by leveling up, you can increase the hearts to 30 and have three full stamina wheels.
