There are plenty of tools and weapons that you will get your hands on in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Just like in Breath of the Wild different weapons, are used for different tasks. Torches, for instance, are used to see in the dark.

When you are lost in the depths and don’t know where you are going, a trusty torch may help you see. This guide will show you how to light a torch in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to ignite a torch in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

If you want to ignite a torch, you will need to build a fire. Building a fire requires flint, wood, and a metal weapon. Of course, you can also make do with some arrows and Fire Fruits if you don’t have the other materials.

Once you have started a fire or created one, you will need to pull out your torch. Press the right button on the D-pad to bring up the weapon selection. Select your torch and bring it over to the fire. As soon as the torch touches the fire, it will ignite. If needed, a tree branch or any wooden weapon can be a makeshift torch.

Torches will help you light up dark areas. If you swing a torch, it will grant a little more light. Hitting an enemy with a torch will ignite them. On rainy days, the torch will instantly get extinguished so stay inside a shelter if it is raining.

How to find torches in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Torches can be found scattered all over Hyrule but you are most likely to find them around villages. Most villages like Lookout Landing will have torches in one of the buildings for you to pick up. No need to spend your Rupees on getting yourself a torch since they are often free.

Unfortunately, there is no way to craft a torch in Tears of the Kingdom. If you want to get your hands on them, you will need to find them instead. Torches also cannot be fused.
