Battling with just a Lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can leave you at a slight range disadvantage. However, there is a ranged move that you can do with your lightsaber, throwing it. While it may sound barbaric to throw your weapon, you can use the force to pull it back turning it into a very deadly boomerang.

Let’s go over how you can throw your Lightsaber in Jedi Survivor.

Jedi Survivor Lightsaber Throwing

Throwing your Lightsaber is quite easy in Jedi Survivor, you just need to hold down LB and tap Y on Xbox Series X|S or hold down L1 and tap Triangle on PS5. This will cause you to throw your Lightsaber in a straight line in front of you unless you are locked onto an enemy.

If you are locked on, the Lightsaber will curve and hit the enemy you are targeting. It can hit multiple enemies in one throw if you manage to have them in a line and target the one in the back.

There will also be plenty of outside-of-combat uses for the saber throw, such as hitting breakable objects at the range or cutting down things that are being held in the air.

You can saber throw no matter what stance you are in and even if you have dual sabers, so always make sure to use it in combat if enemies are trying to keep a bit of range between you and them. It is a really good gap-closing move as it can stagger most ranged enemy types.

The real question is if Cal will have access to a blaster pistol for another ranged option this time around. A few of the pre-order bonuses do mention that you get a blaster pistol skin from them. While these could be skins you apply to another character’s weapon, it would also make sense for Cal to have a holdout blaster to use as a quick counter in combat. But we will have to see with the full launch of the game soon.
