Diablo 4 gives you many ways to customize your playstyle. There are multiple classes in the game like druid, barbarian, necromancer, and sorcerer. While some classes rely on summoning or dealing direct damage through physical attacks, the Sorcerer uses enchantments and magic.

The Sorcerer’s Enchantment Slots are there to help you customize how you want to play your sorcerer. With them, you can choose skills to add, allowing you to combine them with secondary abilities and increase your overall damage. This guide will show you how to use Sorcerer Enchantment Slots in Diablo 4.

How to equip Enchantments in Diablo 4

Many of the skills that the sorcerer class gets in Diablo 4 also have an enchantment effect. To equip a skill as an enchantment, you first need to unlock your enchantment slots. This can be done by leveling up. You will unlock your first enchantment slot at level 15 and the second at level 30.

Once you have an enchantment slot unlocked, bring up your skills and you can select any of them that are non-passive to be placed in the slot. Each skill has its standard action and also has an enchantment effect. Make sure to read the enchantment effect before equipping the skill. Unfortunately, none of the skills will allow you to summon a golem like the necromancer can.

To break down how to equip enchantments:

  • Increase your level to 15 and 30
  • Unlock your enchantment slots
  • Open your skill tree
  • Choose what skill you want to be an enchantment
  • Equip the skill to an enchantment slot

How to use enchantment skills in Diablo 4

Any skill that you assign to your enchantment slots will have a passive skill that activates during combat, allowing you to switch up your playstyle at any time. Each skill has the base effect and a passive ability that activates when you use it as an enchantment.

Each skill has a unique effect allowing you to stun, daze, teleport, and freeze enemies. Some of the best starting skills for enchantments are fireball, ice shards, arc lash, flame shield, spark, lightning spear, and frozen orb.
