In the books, winning the House Cup was a highlight, leaving a sweet taste in the reader’s mouth before the book ended. We were disappointed to know that the house points and House Cup don’t play a major gameplay role in Hogwarts Legacy.

However, there is still a way to win the House Cup for whichever house you choose to start the game with. And in this article, we shall discuss how you can nab the legendary House Cup for all your house brethren.

What is the House Cup?

If you haven’t been in touch with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you probably don’t know what the House Cup is.

The wizarding body at Hogwarts is divided into 4 houses, much like many high schools today. Upon every task well done, or for good behavior, a teacher can award a student with points for their house.

At the end of every wizarding educational year at Hogwarts, the principal of the school gives the house with the most points a prestigious cup. The cup is a symbol of respect and honor for the house, and the houses constantly compete with each other to win it.

If you’ve already ended the game and are wondering if the game even has a House Cup, then we have some good news for you. Not only can you win the House Cup, but we guide you on exactly how to do it.

How to win the House Cup in Hogwarts Legacy

Winning the House Cup in Hogwarts Legacy is fairly easy, albeit time-consuming. That’s because the Cup is hidden in the post-story content, meaning many players will likely miss it if they aren’t concerned with completing every single quest.

Reach Level 34

There is only one way to reach level 34 in Hogwarts Legacy. You will have to complete all of the side quests in the world. That’s the only way to gain enough XP to reach level 34.

After the story ends, there are actually two post-game quests that will unlock. These are as follows:

  • Weasley’s Watchful Eye
  • The House Cup

The first of the two is “ Weasley’s Watchful Eye”. Its completion gives way to the second quest, “The House Cup”, which is the final quest of the game.

The final quest – The House Cup

When you unlock the final quest, simply head on over to the Great Hall one last time to see the ending cutscene of the game. This will give you the true ending of Hogwarts Legacy. We won’t spoil the cutscene by telling you what happens in it, but you can expect to win the House Cup in it.

Is it worth winning the House Cup in Hogwarts Legacy?

Well, we’d say that this mostly comes down to how much of a completionist you are. Since winning the House Cup requires you to first complete all quests & side quests in Hogwarts Legacy, it’s definitely a considerable time investment. Anyone who is enjoying the game as much as we are will probably be thrilled to make the most of the game’s content.

It’s definitely worth completing The House Cup quest and giving your respective Hogwarts House all of the glory. This is the ‘true’ ending to Hogwarts Legacy’s story, so it’s nice to witness it for yourself.
